Cacti

Currently running cactiez-v0.7, issued cactiezv0.7 updates and yum updates, and configured one switch to send syslog messages to my cacti server. Syslog works however it seems to be flooded by a ton of messages (20+) for one event. Any ideas what could be causing this problem?

Had a quick question. Anyone else have problems with syslog refresh times? I set mine to one minute and yet my syslog does not refresh. I go to console then go back to syslog as a way of manually refreshing in order to see any new messages. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I finally got my syslog up and running but would like to take advantage of the reporting and alarm features in cacti. If anyone has any tutorials that'd be great. I'm more of a visual learner so pictures are appreciated Thanks guys.

Thanks for help but was able to get syslog up and running. Did a clean install and followed the instructions on an earlier post below. Either way I appreciate your help.

Hey everyone I'm extremely new to cacti and all things linux so I opted for the CactiEZ-v0.7 installation on a local server.
