Been working on why I could not get mactrack to work. While reading through the lib functions, I found this gem of information: /* get_IOS_dot1dTpFdbEntry_ports obtains port associations for Cisco Catalyst Swtiches. Catalyst switches are unique in that they support a different snmp_readstring for ev...

Hi The Witness, Ok, I was playing with my device types, before posting  I've changed back to IOS still with no luck. I bit the bullet and added a whole stack, pardon the pun  (about 10 or so) switches to mactrack and one switch (another 3750 on a different subnet) works fine with the sam...

Hi All, I'm new to mactrack and I'm having problems getting it working correctly. I've added a site, and Device Types, then added a couple of switches but I can't seem to get any ip's collected. The switches I've tried are all cisco's (3750, 6509, 4507). Edit: The 6509 switch is routing the vlans fo...

Hi Rony, I've been tossing up the best way to get stats from my AIX boxen. I've tried IBM's snmp -> YUCK, net-snmp -> no interface stats :(, and nmon. I like the data that nmon collects, but I'd like it to be intergrated into cacti. Are you in a position to post the scripts that you use? Do you use ...

Problems installing in Arch Linux
Hi All, I've done cacti installations before and I don't usually have any problems, alas this time I'm a little stuck. I'm trying to install 0.8.6h on arch linux with apache 2.2.0, php 5.2.1 and mysql 5.0.18. After I've created the database and populated it with the cacti.sql file, I browse the http...
