SPINE: "Invalid SNMP Session" appears seemingly out of nowhe
Hi, Starting from midday yesterday, one of our SNMP devices no longer graphs and shows up as "down" in the device list. The cacti log file shows this: 09/29/2010 11:45:04 AM - SPINE: Poller[0] DEBUG: The Value of Active Threads is 1 09/29/2010 11:45:04 AM - SPINE: Poller[0] DEBUG: In Polle...

Cacti remote password retrieval security flaw?
Hi, During some penetration testing, it was foud that an installation of cacti was vulnerable to having the passwords retrieved of accounts on the server! Is this a known problem with 0.8.7e? Is there a way to enable a form of one-way encryption to ensure that we don't get passwords compromised by a...

I just checked it on my 0.8.7e + PIA 2.5 install. No date/time above. Yes, once the zoom button has been clicked, the cursor will zoom over any selected area of the graph. There is no need for a date/time selection at this point. The issue is that I can't actually modify the selection and the selec...

thanks.

Adding multiple data sources together for one graph - how?
Hi all, I'm attempting to graph the users per SSID on a Cisco Wireless LAN controller. We have multiple controllers and wish to add the numbers together so that we can see how many users per SSID across all controllers, not (just) the users-per-controller figure. This would be similar to, say, graph...

RPM package for spine 0.8.7c
Hi all,
I'm seeing an RHEL5 RPM for the above. I can't find anything newer than 0.8.7a on DAG. Does anyone know where I may find one?
thanks

running the php -q poller.php works.. cmd.php doesn't... What is the difference between the two? Edit: nevermind, turns out cmd.php shouldn't be run from the command line which is what I was doing to troubleshoot why my graphs weren't updating when it turns out I had my crontab entry incorrect! oops...

cacti move/upgrade: poller works but rrd files aren't update
Hi, Trying to upgrade from an 0.8.6 system to 0.8.7... got it all installed and running but the rrd files aren't getting updated, showing NaN for the daily graphs. What can I look for? debugs aren't showing me anything conclusive. The files are there and I have full access to them. Creating a new gr...

DST ended, now graphs have gaps and large values in them
Hi, I'm running cacti 0.8.6h +rrdtool 1.0.50. We've just had DST end and have noticed a one hour gap betwee 2am and the second 2am time, and at 3am, we have a very large traffic spike on all our graphs. Is there an explanation for this - and is there a way to somehow remove this spike from the RRDs?...

Uprade advice: 0.8.6h -> 0.8.7b
Hi all, We're currently running cacti 0.8.6h and wish to upgrade to something a bit newer. There are a few 0.8.7 featured we'd love (eg, one minute polling, improved LDAP support etc) although we also use the network weathermap extensively (is this supported under 0.8.7?). We're running on RHEL3 and...
