I created the test cases w/ the bad IPs and ran spine. Out of 10 executions spine only hung once. I'm in the process of re-creating the cases w/ bad DNS.

It think I'm having the same problem. Cacti won't generate rrds for interface graphs. It works fine for CPU, Load, Processes, etc.. Just doesn't like interface graphs. That should be correct. My poller runs every 30 seconds and I have a 30 step and 60 heartbeat.

Just to make sure did you change the heartbeat for all the Data Source Items? All 16 of them?
