Problem to configure Interface-Traffic

Hi

I did the following in the screenshots I added inside the word file.

What do I have to add in:

- Data Source Path
- Index Value

If I leave "Index Value" blank Iget an error!
and I don't know what to fill in.

Does somebody habe a howto to setup
cacti on linux and configure devices
setp by step?

I work here with ubuntu Linux. Cacti
is running already.

But if problem to add devices correctly.

Click on the left "device"

Put in your device configuration under "SNMP community" the string "public".
This string (public) is alway the default string for SNMP... :D

I made all these things and now the graph is drawn...

But nothings in the CPU graph is drawn. If I increase CPU load phisicaly on the device, nothing will be drawn the next time after the polling...

Why is that???

Hi Why it's not possible to add the "Interface - Traffic" template??? In the drop down menu in my "device" under "Associated Graph Templates" are many other templates not visible, which are listed under "Graph Templates" ... Why is that??? I would like to add ...

Permissions for directory rra/ and log/ are correct.

I added the "Unix - Ping Host" template and I don't have problems with it.
But if I use the "ucd/net - CPU Usage" template... than cacti is not able
to show the output.

Does somebody have experience?

ucd/net - CPU Usage

Hi

I'm a newbie in cacti :D

I load the "ucd/net - CPU Usage" Template but the file "localhost_cpu_nice_x.rrd" will not be created...

Why is that???

I installed cacti very well and it also works fine... but even this things...
