hi people....i tried all those templates...dont work...i have the graphs but nothing is plotted...does it use an external script to collect the data? or snmp? i didnt get it

I tried to modify the existing CPU usage graph template and add iowait ...but the graph became to confuse...i decided to make an IOWait x CPU Idle graph....(separate graph template) it's nice now...thanks for the help!

Hi...i have a little problem.

i got some 120 hosts in cacti...and i want to add a new graphic to all them...
is there anyway to do it without having to add it in "devices" and "new graphs" host by host ...i'd take hours....

nice!! it's working...i extended ucd/net cpu usage as you suggested...the problem now is: how to add the iowait to all my hosts? do i have to add by hand the new data source (iowait) host by host? is there any trick i could do?

is there already an existing one ? (iowait = wait in linux)...

Nice....i knew about the snmp oid , the problem is..as im new to cacti i dunno how to build a template for iowait with snmp , do you know if there's one ready to use over here??? i've searched the forum but just found otemplates that use scripts using iostat/vmstat commands ..one of them was by your...

sure...but i'd like to do that via snmp...i've got some 200 machines to monitor...and would be easier than creating shell scripts.. is there any template that uses snmp to monitor iowait?

it would be the wa% field in linux top and iowait% field in solaris top...

how do i generate the iowait graphic? i just have cpu usage and load average.....i want an iowait graphic (io activity) i could do that in mrtg..

Does anyone know how to generate an IOWAIT graphic with cacti..im using linux and solaris (via snmp)

Hi...i know this is not the right place to ask...i''ve been using cacti for a while..
and a friend of mine says there's a tool (that he cant remember the name) wich is much better than cacti....
can anyone tell me what are the other option to cacti (are there better ones?)
