You should recompile PHP with CLI support. Even if you could make it run through apache (which I assume that is what you mean), you are better off ahead with the CLI support because later down the road you might want to run things like database ugprades etc, and you will want to run them from the co...

Here is an updated copy of last nights SVN for the plugin. Everyone test this version and let us know if you find any bugs. I guess I will try to keep an updated version on here anytime anything is fixed, otherwise we keep getting old bug reports. All old versions of the plugin version are now remo...

everytime i try and save a location or a device i get 'Save Failed' at the top, any ideas guys? PS. apache's error log shows nothing, cacti's error log shows nothing. -MGOB My installation also exhibits this problem, but it really does save, so I guess it's not that bad. I have cacti 86-g, and I ha...

If you can provide access to one of the Juniper switches for me via the internet through your firewall, I can integrate. TheWitness Thats really nice of you :) Do you need ssh access into the router, or do you need just access to a box on my network so that you can snmpwalk it etc? I can possibly w...

This is going to be so nice when it's all going :) Thank you to the team here for all your hard work! I have a Juniper M20 I am trying to get to work with MacTrack. I have added a device type, but I assume the reason it is not working is because of the functions for scanning the ports. Has anyone ha...

cacti disk space usage, mysql db huge
This is really weird. I am using cacti to graph probably 100 devices or so, I believe I have upwards of around 2000 data sources. I used cactid and its running on FreeBSD 5.4, with the latest mysql package from the ports collection. When I export my sql database (I use phpmyadmin, or mysqldump), it ...

Actually it was easier than I thought, but harder than I thought :) It would be pretty difficult (for me) to write a script to add the 2000 users considering that each one needed unique permissions based on a graph id, which is based on rra id's, etc. It's not just inserting duplicate users, I guess...

howto add a ton of users to cacti for use in datacenter?
Hello, I am using cacti (8.6f w/ thold) to monitor the bandwidth usage for our network. We also want to use cacti on the end-user's side because it looks nicer than mrtg and I hope it is easier to maintain. (we have 100+ switches, each port being graphed). Now on mrtg I have it setup so that you can...

Allright I just reinstalled the thold module and wiped the few thold tables from the db and it is working perfectly! Now I can get alerts when any of our customers start using more bandwidth than the default plan, and when they buy more, then I can change the alert for their port higher. This has sa...

Re: Cigamit Rocks
Cigamit: Thank you so much for your efforts! Thanks to you I have cacti running pretty smoothly. Only one quick question. I am in the process of replacing MRTG, and I have to graph each port on about 100+ switches. I am using thold w/ your plugin system and so far it is working great. I click auto-...
