Graph Axis and Gprint data do not match?

I am a bit confused as to why my graphs show different data on the axis than they do in GPRINT. You can see it references the same data source. Has anyone seen this before?

Thanks,
Dan

Make sure you have your cactid.conf file in the same directory as your cactid executable.

Script Query assistance

Hi, I've looked around in the docs and on the forums but can't seem to get my script query to function as it should. I'm sure it is something small and significant. If somebody could lend their expertise I would be grateful. I wrote a script query and corresponding XML to calculate disk usage for sp...

Hi,

See http://www.cacti.net/cactid_install.php

Your install is probably still using cmd.php.

Now I will answer my own question. http://www.cacti.net/downloads/docs/html/faq.html#AEN1939 "A lot of my graphs contain long ifAlias names, but they are being truncated to 15 characters. Cacti does this by default to better control graph title formatting. You can change this limit, by going to...

SNMP limitation?

When I query the description field on my wireless devices, it gets clipped at 15 characters.

Does anyone know if this a limitation of SNMPv1? I tried using v2, but my devices will only support v1.

Thanks,
Dan

Thank you very much. I had added the full path to the data input methods, but I missed the small yet critical step of clearing the poller cache. It is working now. Thanks!

Cactid problems

Hi, I have a brand new install of Cacti 0.8.6h and Cactid 0.8.6g. I am having some trouble getting cactid to poll correctly. I haven't added any devices so right now it is just monitoring the defaults on localhost. When poller runs in debug mode, I get what you see below. I've also attached debug ou...

Thank you. I know I am very close, but I still need a little clarification. Here is what I've done. Maybe you can tell me what I missed. 1. I have verified that my trango_fox.xml file includes the correct OID for the suMAC (Mac address of the subscriber unit I am querying): SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.5...

Hi,

I've converted to a data query, but I do not see how to add values like these to my graphs. How does one go about this?

Thanks again,
Dan

Hi. Thanks for the quick reply.

I am just glancing at documentation here. Am I mistaken in thinking my "script/command" could likely be converted into a XML script query and then added as a data query to make use of these static values?

Display Static content with graphs?

I have generated traffic graphs for a number of our wireless devices. Along with the dynamicly changing traffic stats I would like to display some static data that my script returns (frequencey, polarization, etc.) below each graph. How can I do this? My only option for data source items are COUNTER...
