Re: Gaps on diskspaces

Hey, This is all local stuff. So it's a linux machine... :$ But i'll give the http://docs.cacti.net/usertemplate:data:host_mib:disk_usage a try. Hereby the graphs: The 'old/standard' graphs http://oniriabe.dyndns.org:1111/cacti/graph_image.php?action=view&local_graph_id=465&rra_id=1 And your...

Gaps on diskspaces

Hey, My cacti installation is working great, except for local diskspace. From time to time, the diskspaces give a gap. My server is being graphed for cpu load, network interfaces, disk usuage, services... And on the time that the disks show a gap, the rest is working fine. I'm using 'SNMP - G...

Re: mysql syslog how to purge/shrink?

I'm having a bit the same issue. The syslog db is filling up bigtime. After one day, about 100MB? Of course, this can be normal, since a lot of logs are generated by the server. But is there a way to limit this? For example overwrite once it hits 1GB? Or is it possible to truncate all data from fe '...

Graph running scripts

Is there a way to check if a script is running? I've got a small script running on my linux machine (=same as the cacti machine). And I would like to check (graph) with cacti if this script is running. I was thinking of using something like: <cacti>/scripts/linux_ps.sh SEARCH_STRING=$1 ps -ef | grep...

Re: Asterik IP-PBX Statistics (SIP/IAX2 protocols)

Hey, Seems that my graphs are working, but I'm wondering how i need to look at it. I've got 8 phones registered, and 1 sip account/trunk with a provider... - I guess that the 9 peers/users are the total of 8+1? - And the 1 online is my sip account? Is there a way to graph the actual calls? - One lin...

Re: Export of nodes

noname wrote:'cli/add_tree.php' has some list options.
Thanks,

I was able with following command to export all nodes...

Code: Select all

php YourCactiFolder/cli/add_tree.php --list-hosts > export.txt
So I could export a basic list to start with.
But I'll keep on looking for a more detailed report of any kind...

Export of nodes

Hey,

Is there a way (plugin?) to export a list of all current nodes.
A kind of inventory of all devices lets say.

Maybe with the hostname/ip/snmp credentials...

Seems fine... mysql -u cacti -p cacti password: xxxxxx Reading table information for completion of table and column names You can turn off this feature to get a quicker startup with -A Welcome to the MySQL monitor. Commands end with ; or \g. Your MySQL connection id is 23339 Server version: 5.0.67-0...

Let me know if I can help out... Professional level i'm a network engineer. Most important plugins for me are: 'manage', weathermaps, syslog and configmanager. SSH: Failed password for invalid user cacti from 127.0.0.1

At first sight, my cacti is running perfectly. Except 1 thing, some syslogs... When i check this, i see a lot fo fails regarding passwords. Any idea why he's doing this? Configmanagment; limit search

A great plugin is the configmanagment. Only one small bug in it, when you select a template, i get directly a complete list of all hosts. In my case over 1500, so it takes a while to load. Is there a way to limit this search/view? Or put a kind of default 'search string' in it so he won't show all d...

Read value out of database

Hey, Can i read (and graph/manage) a value directly from a database? I'm trying to combine cacti and linuxmce. Linuxmce is handling my whole home automation system (lighting, power outlets...). So it would be great if i can monitor all these things with cacti. I'm thinking about lights that are on/o...
