Re: Cacti variables: |variable_name| list?
There are a lot of samples in the documentation here: http://docs.cacti.net/manual:088:6_reference.variables#variables You can also do |input_abc| to re-use information from a new data input method. I did a Google search for 'cacti variables' and it was at the top. Maybe my results are skewed becaus...

Re: Data Queries / Script Data / not being polled
I was about to write a me-too for this post, and then I followed suggestions of re-reading the manual. :) My first missing step was not checking the box on the data template for Index Type, Index Value, and Output Type ID. My second error was missing a step in creating the Data Query. When creating ...

It's like a processor load table, structured something like: Index Name 5-min-load 1-min-load 1 ABC 24 40 2 CDE 26 45 I've used the SNMP data query to graph ...

Re: [HOWTO] 0.8.7 and 1 minute polling
I've hit a bit of a wall trying to setup 1 minute polling. I understand from this thread that the theory is to run the poller once every 5 minutes from cron, cron interval = 5 minutes, and with the poller interval at 1 minute, it will execute once a minute. Now, if I have everything set to 1 minute,...
