Duh! I completely misread that, sorry. And it's so obvious now you point it out :)

Thanks very much for your help.

Magic, thanks :)

Er... except that there are 6 or so CDEFs of varying tediousness (to retype), so I've decided to skip the template stuff and just make copies of a working graph.

unusable graph template

I'm trying to convert my old 0.6.8 Cacti graphs to 0.8.6 and have only a few strands of hair left. I laboriously created a ping chart (not helped by being unable to edit any field) and finally got it more or less OK for the moment. Since I'm going to use it a bit I converted it to a graph template, ...

With Cacti 0.6.8?

Dunno then. I'm a C bloke so all this fancy interpreter stuff has me foxed :)

Wow! I appear to have caused offence with that comment - got some awful debug output from the board as I tried to post. Pah! Some languages just can't take humour.

For anyone else getting this problem, the solution was... upgrade PHP4 to PHP4 :) It seems I was using an early PHP4 that came with my web server (OmniHTTPd). Installing the most recent PHP4 fixed the problem. But... the new PHP4 is incompatible with the previous Cacti scripts! I had planned to run ...

Mmmm. 3.23 just scrapes onto the requirements list so perhaps you have a point there. I'm kind of loath to fix something that isn't broken (for the other stuff) in case it starts a chain reaction. Can you imagine a failure mechanism based on mySQL that would give my symptoms? Hmmmm. I'll have to che...

Is this the sort of thing you want? It's from W2K to ..er.. somewhere or other... Nowt magic about it. The first pix shows the input scheme - I use DOS ping to do the biz, piping the output to a little prog I wrote to extract the info and present it in the right order. It's a very small program whic...

Stuck on login

I've just installed 0.8.6d as a new install and fired it up for the (technically) first time, gone through the initial config (PHP directories, etc) and am now at the login. I enter 'admin' for both user name and password, hit submit and... there I am back again. Anything I do just gets me back at t...
