Getting hrMemorySize

I'm trying to get HOST_RESOURCES-MIB::hrMemorySize (.1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.2.0) from a net-snmp system on a machine with >4G ram (hence, trying to not use memTotalReal) hrMemorySize returns the memory count in KB, but i've run into the problem that the units are returned with the integer (i.e. "1234...
