SQL Fragments and Spine Segmentation faults

I'm getting some errors in my log like the following: 08/14/2009 02:40:17 PM - SPINE: Poller[0] ERROR: A database insert failed! Error:'1062', SQL Fragment:'INSERT INTO poller_output (local_data_id, rrd_name, time, output) VALUES (821,'hdd_used','2009-08-14 14:40:13','9884053504'),(821,'hdd_total','...

My concern isn't about rrdtool, but rather the poller not completing its 5th poll before the cron job starts the poller.php process again. By the time I get to the 5th poll in that cycle I effectively have only 40 seconds to complete the poll instead of 60. I was just wondering if anyone else has no...

one minute polling doesn't actually run at 1 minute

I'm using spine Polling interval is set at 1 minute Cron interval is set at 5 minutes This isn't a huge deal, but does seem like it could cause some issues. I've noticed that as the cron job gets further and further into a 5 minute period the start time of the polls gets further and further off from...

General SNMP question

alright, so I have Cacti up and running. It has been for over a year and everything is great. I know that cacti averages the values after so many "steps" in order to conserve space. That is how RRD's work. My question is on the polling side. My understanding is that when the poller connect...

Local - Poller Statistics DataSources not working

When I'm running the "Local - Poller Statistics" script my graphs are not showing the DataSources results. When I run the command in the script server I get results. 11/28/2006 02:15:55 PM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] Host[78] DS[1733] SERVER: D:/Apache2/htdocs/cacti/scripts/ss_poller.php ss_poller...

when you go to http://yourcactiserver/cactidirectory <--- substitute your values, what do you get? You should be prompted for a username and password. ok, so I read the FAQ and found that Crosscut had the same problem. The fix is to hack the thold-functions.php to remove the attachment.

Ok, so it appears that the refused messages were actually being caused by the UDP pings being blocked by our firewall. Once I changed it to ICMP the refused messages went away. Of a different interesting note though when using FileMon I found a lot of my scripts are getting a result of BUFFER OVERFL...

-> refused

Has anyone seen these errors before? I'm trying to figure out what exactly is being refused but I can't find anything in the log files even when I do debug.
