I also had to comment those line 245 thru 247 out to make cacti/thold come up normally. In addition, the "settings" plugin had to be moved in front of thold in config.php file, otherwise I'd be getting : [client 127.0.0.1] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function: settings_version() in ...

Ok, I guess I should have known not to use the damn "yum"....It chose to upgrade my php with net-snmp, and this broke the whole thing. I manually removed the php and net-snmp packages. Downloaded the older versions, installed, and what a surprise, the whole thing started working again. fyi...

Forgot to mention, I can also go to a device and create new graphs, yet when poller is running using cactid (I was running 0.8.6f, just few minutes ago upgraded to 0.8.6g to see if that would make a difference) no graphs are updated, all devices show "Down" status, in the debug mode it sho...

upgraded net-snmp, polling stopped working, please help

Hi, running FC3 system, I wanted to try the weathermap plugin and discovered I didn't have the gd installed. When, I used yum to install it and at the same time it upgraded my php. After that, poller was complaining about lacking net-snmp. Well, I upgraded net-snmp with yum, but now in my cacti.log ...

I am running on a FC3 and all the packages are rather old, they're running most updated ones available thru packages, but this being fc3 does not mean much... mysql> show columns from plugin_reports; +------...

Interesting, since I'm not really a script guru, just modifying other people's
work to fit my need - I know, not a lot of creativity, but then again this is
not the primary function of my job - is there an easy way to try this out ?

Thanks for a quick reply, as always :-) Anyway, it's not the biggest deal for me, it appears that basically the need for it comes from the fact I won't be able to run anything against the actual machine where data comes from and therefore need to rely on the log file on the remote machine for the da...

Modifying time per data source ?

Is it possible to take time log from a machine that I run a script on to be somehow used by the cacti in the display instead of using the time on cacti machine itself ? I have a script running on cacti that basically logs into a remote machine and collects a data from a log file which is my output f...

Ok, I edited php.ini and increased the value from 8MB to 64MB. Bigger question here is whether this is something I simply should have increased or whether there are other issues I need to look into, mainly whether I should upgrade my system. Since this is running FC3, I have to run it on rather old ...

Please check your memory limits for php. If you're just below the limits (defauflt=8MB) and sths going wrong, you're not getting anything out anymore. 64MB is recommended for php/cacti Reinhard Looks like I got the same issue again, and doing "truncate poller_output" in mysql resolved it ...

There is a more up to date cactid. Also, run the following query on you cacti database: truncate poller_output; Make sure the poller is not running when you run that query. Updated to cactid 0.8.6f which didn't seem to do much, then used the truncate command, and this time I can see the rrd files b...
