Re: Custom data input fields on graphs?
Interesting! I have another input field called "host". I can use "|input_host|" with out an issue!
A bug it appears when using the word "string" as the input field name?

[solved] Custom data input fields on graphs?
Hi All
On a custom 'Data Input Method' I have 2 custom 'Input fields'. How do I display these on the graph? One is called "string" and I want to display it in the graph title. I've tried "|query_string|" but it didn't work.
Thank you

Host incorrectly reported as down & then perl script issues
Hi I have solved this but thought I would post explaining how because searching around the forums I found people with the same issues but no solid fixes except saying just run the poller cron as root or use CMD for the poller, not Spine. If I've not stated/explained something right, please do correc...

Hi I am trying to use this but getting some odd graphs! Cacti Version 0.8.7i running on an Ubuntu 10.04 box. Trying to monitor a Windows 2008 R2 Standard Server box - the box is purely running the Hyper-V role to run a number of virtualised Windows & Linux boxes. The physical box has 8GB RAM. Th...

Different scale for out and in?
Hi All On a link is it possible to use different scale for out and in? Or am I over looking something with the following scenario? Link displays up & down speeds that an ADSL connection is synced at. (So say 16M in and 900K out are displayed). Snippet of code which currently uses the same scale ...

Re: Different RRD for in and out?
Sussed it, just after posting, typical! I was not doing the :- and -: bits right before.
Code: Select all
TARGET gauge:/path/to/the.rrd:down_speed:- gauge:/path/to/the/other.rrd:-:up_speed

Different RRD for in and out?
Hi All Apologies if I am over looking some thing here. I have 2 RRDs, one that records the upstream speed of a connection and another one which records the downstream speed of a connection. How can I set the target so in shows one RRD's data and the other out arrow shows the out RRD's data? Thanks S...

Re: Graphs have stopped generating
Hmm, I've not fixed the Advanced Ping graphs but I have the router graphs. I realised that the poller time I had changed from 1 minute to 5 with the original problem, to see if giving it more time helped. Put it back to 1 now, router SNR/attenuation etc graphs now working :) I thought you just had t...

Re: Graphs have stopped generating
Using rrdtool dump I've dumped one of the RRD files in question... and see the following in it: <ds> <name> avg </name> <type> GAUGE </type> <minimal_heartbeat> 120 </minimal_heartbeat> <min> 0.0000000000e+00 </min> <max> 5.0000000000e+02 </max> <!-- PDP Status --> <last_ds> 3.4857 </last_ds> <value...
