Re: Spine 088a - Processes staying open occasionally after p
Any suggestions for troubleshooting? The problem is the issue only seems to occur randomly. I'm going through and cleaning up dead graphs and doing other misc tasks which seems to be making it run better but I don't know if its been fixed. Is there any issue with using the pre-compiled exe for 088a ...

Re: Last obstacle I think
I've seen this happen when the permissions on one NTFS folder are exactly the same as other ones and this was fixed through a combination of the suggestions I made above. That said, fully agree with checking the permissions.

Re: Spine 088a - Processes staying open occasionally after p
Hi BSOD, Thanks for getting back to me. I'm not quite sure how to check what scripts are not completing as when it occurs (at a seemingly random interval), the rrd processed count does not change at all - e.g. in the poll before the spine process stays open, its around 10379. We expect some movement...

Re: Last obstacle I think
Hi, Have run into this on several occasions and here's some of the fixes that work depending on the situation: - Restart SNMP on the device - Check that you can poll another graph on the server - if so, try doing a debug query on that - Do a snmpwalk from the Cacti server on the device and confirm t...

Spine 088a - Processes staying open occasionally after poll
Hi All, We've got a problem with our Windows Cacti system that one of the four spine processes will not close after a poll has finished. This seems to mimick the issue reported in Spine 088 however we already upgraded the system to 088a. The issue is slightly annoying as it occurs on seemingly rando...

Using ReportIt or other plugin to find graphs with -1.#J val
Hi All, Trying to make my life a bit easier by using reportit to find where graphs are getting invalid entries - we have thousands of graphs so its a busy little system and going through it node by node just isn't time smart. Can I use reportit for this function or is there another way that I could ...

Hi Guys,
I've had a bit of a read and can't seem to find a way to do this - is it supported / is there another way I can achieve this?
Cheers,
Schnark

Finding graphs with no values (-1.#J) / Reporting
Hi Guys,
Just wondering if there is a way that I could quickly identify where there are graphs with the no value (-1.#J).
This way, I can identify where graphs need to be removed or troubleshooted.
Would using something like "Cacti-ReportIT" be the best option for this?
Cheers,
Schnark

Replacing polled SNMP values through lookup table
Hi All, I've recently put in the HP server temp monitoring templates which have worked really well except for the location info for the temp sensor that's being passed through by the server is numerical rather than text based. I've looked through the MIB and I can work out what the values are (e.g. ...

Re: Graph not being displayed
Hi, Managed to fix nearly all of the issues today by doing the following: - Stopping the poller and waiting 10 minutes (we're on a 5 minute schedule) - Clearing out the poller cache and confirming its empty - Restarting SNMP on the routers that were affected - Waiting 10 minutes and observing that t...

Re: Authenticating users from two AD Domains
If there are cross domain trusts between the two, why don't you just nest one user into another forest's group?
Haven't tried it myself but it should work

Re: Authenticate from 2 LDAP server?
Hi,
If you're using an Active Directory domain then rather than pointing at the <server>.domain.network change it to be just .domain.network
This should work because AD will always multiple records for that zone for each name servers on the zone.

Re: Graph not being displayed
I have a similar problem however my graphs are coming up with an error -1.#J I know that you can do the debug mode to see what's running as the data source, but is there a way to monitor a specific graph's poller output? I'm curious to see if the poll is getting any data back. I know that other SNMP...
