I will like to ask if your script can be used to aggregate traffic from 2 interface. I want to write a script that will create an aggregate graphs of 2 interface for 1000 devices. Is this possible with your script?

Can also use syslog. Save the syslog messages to your local cacti server and forward the messages to Netcool. You can configure cacti to send the message to a particular facility.

Click On Console Tab
Click On Settings
Click the Alerting/Thold Tab
Check the sylogging box
Syslog messages will be store on your local cacti machine
Then configure your local sylog to forwar this to your remote syslog
ex. local6.debug @Omnibus
