Hi, attached you'll find a ZIP file with all required programs, cmd- and text-files. Simply list all servers you would like to monitor in uptime_server.txt and run uptime.cmd. This will create a html-file for all servers. uptime_server.cmd <servername> C:\temp\UT.log will query one server and save t...

If you just want to graph the network traffic on your PC's you could simply use the "Windows 2000/XP Host" template.
On the "Data Query [SNMP - Interface Statistics]" simply select the interface you're interested in and the "graph type:".
That's the way we did it.

Have a look at http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=5842. I've compiled a document to show the different ways to get windows info using WMI to a linux box.

In the CACTI Manual you can find a chapter "Simplest Method of Going from Script to Graph (Walkthrough)".
This should give you a good starting point.

Just a question, with the above do you need to have Nagios installed or can you simply use the proxy server to query with the appropriate templates? I haven't tried it myself - just compiled all possible ways to get info from windows to a linux box. If I understand the docu correctly you just need ...

You can't run WMI scripts on Linux. You have to use some "tools" as described in http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=5842.

Hi Julien, I'm sorry but I can't help you any further. I've never used SNMP Informant to create graphs. I think you started at the right place to copy and modify existing data queries to fit the SNMP Informant OIDs. Unfortunately indexed OIDs aren't easy to get data from. I'm very sorry that I could...

Hi Julien, most users want to query Windows boxes from Linux - there is a solution to monitor all kind of performance monitors. For Windows-Windows you'll have to use WMI to get this information. Have a look at http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=2907 to have an example on how to get the disk ut...

Hi Julien, some questions: * What operating system are you running the cacti server on (Windows, Linux ...)? * What flavour of Windows do you try to monitor (Windows 2000, Windows 2003 ...)? * Are you allowed to install additional programs on your Windows systems? Kind regards and greetings from Aus...

Yes, there is. Check the cacti docu at http://www.cacti.net/documentation.php. http://www.cacti.net/downloads/docs/htm ... graph.html leads you step-by-step from script to graph.
