Re: Updating EPEL?
It's down to the repo owners. May I ask which repo / system you're using? I ask because I see 1.1.24 in EPEL from here: [me@cac2-prd ~]$ yum info cacti Loaded plugins: fastestmirror Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile * base: ftp.swin.edu.au * epel: mirror.optus.net * extras: ftp.swin.edu.au ...

Re: Doubt on ping function
I think you misunderstood me :) If you run CLI command on the server: "sestatus" does it return "enforcing" ? IF true then I believe the reason your ping is not working is because the security on your server is not set up to permit cacti / web server to send a ping. To fix this, ...

Re: CentOS 7.4 - Graphs showing NaN
I followed this guide for the most part and used "yum install cacti" : https://www.tecmint.com/install-cacti-network-monitoring-on-rhel-centos-6-3-5-8-and-fedora-17-12/ I stopped following the guide when I got to the cacti install wizard page. Do you have selinux enabled? If your put it in...

Re: Doubt on ping function
Just posted something similar, relating to selinux which I don't know how to resolve. Do you have selinux running at the moment? You dont say which system you have.
I'm trying to find a solution in this thread viewtopic.php?f=2&t=58055

ICMP device down detection not working due to SELinux
Cacti 1.1.24 OS Centos 7 PHP 5.4 Using cmd.php Apache 2.4.6 In the device settings I have down device detection using icmp ping. This is saying icmp timeout, unless I set selinux to permissive. I'm trying to find a solution which is not disabling selinux but it's proving extremely difficult. I've fo...

Re: Email alerts based on graph value
Found that there's a new version of Thold : https://github.com/Cacti/plugin_thold
Admins: the version of Thold stored on this site is not working / not latest.

Email alerts based on graph value
Hi all, I've recently installed cacti v1.1.24 and found that most plugins are no longer supported. I would like to receive a notification from cacti when the graph value has reached a value or dropped below a value. I used to use Thold plugin. In the absence of Thold, is there any way in which I can...

Re: Cisco IP Phone
Look up "Ansible". You could relatively easily, write yourself a script to be able to do this. I'm not sure what you would want to do from there, though. I'm not sure where or how that would be useful for cacti. But it is possible, to use Ansible and some tools with that, to connect to a s...

Re: [SOLVED - sort of] 0.8.8a & realtime no longer graphing
I have this problem too and it's stopped working all of a sudden - the RRD's are not being created in cache. I updated to the latest 0.5-2 realtime but no joy and the window keeps resizing to a extremely tiny size every second. I'll try the workaround. thx

Re: Network device interface monitoring
What about something like:
creating a new data query for the interface status snmp oid, create the "graphs" and then set a Thold alert? Is it possible to do this without creating the graphs? I guess not as Thold wont work.

Network device interface monitoring
One of the good things about cacti is that when you configure a device, cacti will complete an snmp walk of the interface mib to present you with a list of interfaces to graph. I need to monitor a bunch of network devices physical interfaces using snmp for the purpose of early warning of issues. As ...
