Hmm

Ok I did some other test. I change the CDEF by my own one: CDEF:cdefe=a,b,+ and the total average value is ok. Now the issue come from the cdef generate by the hardcoded special data source ALL_DATA_SOURCES_NODUPS. By the way, ALL_DATA_SOURCES_DUPS doesnt work!

Other observation

I also saw that the total is good when I use the LAST value but in the previous example I use the Average value. Also, someone have an idea how I can customize the CDEF to have onlyy simple think like: CDEF:cdefe=a,b+ instead of: CDEF:cdefe=TIME,1111091548,GT,a,a,UN,0,a,IF,IF,TIME,1111091548,GT,b,b,...

Need explanation on CDEF option on RRD graph

I did a very simple graph, Rx and Tx. Then I add a third graph item, the total of each of those 2 data source. I use the internal special data sources: ALL_DATA_SOURCES_NODUPS but the result of this is never the summation of each data source (Rx + Tx). Can someone could give me an explanation on tha...

Patch to handle NONE-SNMP query into SNMP-query XML file

Hi gang, I will share with you some change I did into the lib/data_query.php module of caci to add some cool feature in the SNMP Query XML file. The patch is based on the Cacti v0.8.6c What are those features? =================================================== 1. If you put this into your XML files...

Rx/Tx FC Word size

Hi all, After reading few RFC on FC protocol I found that the FC Word is a 4 character of 8 bit so 32bit but, the FC protocol encapsulate those character into a 10bit format so on the pipe, a 32bit data is 40bit. Now based on a discussion with Brocade, the portpershow show the amount of data non enc...

Graph switch performance interface

Hi all, I setup a cacti to monitor the performance of switch port interface. Those questions 1. How can I setup Cacti to have a ifIndex that start at 0 instead of 1. The SNMP mib return 16 ports, for 1 to 16 but a want 0 to 15 2. How can a put the index in the data source name (DS) at the time of da...

Performance stats from MIB

Just to update that a bit, I found that on the Brocade web site:

Transmission word: A string of four consecutive transmission characters.

Does that mean the 1 Rx or Tx Words mean 4 x 8 bit = 32bits ?

Also, someone have more information about the Rx/Tx Frames ? What's that mean ?

Thanks

Thanks a other question

Thank for the solution! Work fine now. Do you have an idea what is the relationship bettween the SNMP metric (RxWords/TxWords, RxFrames, TxFrames) and the PortPerfShow ? I have a port that run steady at over 15MB/s and the graph only show average of RxWords 4.47MB/s. and 0 for TxWords and few Kbs fo...
