Anyone else experiencing large (14+ million packets) spikes when installing the policy through SmartDashboard? If I leave the firewall policy(s) alone, the graphs are okay, and it contains usable information. However, when I install a policy after updating a rule, etc., all packet counters spike up...

For the UPS device, change the "Ping Method" to ICMP Ping. Does it show up now?

This is a normal log message. Essentially, the Cacti poller is marking hosts for reindexing since it has detected some SNMP fields do not match the cached indexes.

You will need to reinstall the Plugin Architecture to resolve this issue. Please note that you should patch lib/html.php after you reinstall the PIA. Simply replace line 146 in lib/html.php that is packaged in the PIA with the following line (all on one line): <div style="min-height: <?php echo...

When clicking the device, the information is gathered by PHP scripts ran under the unprivlaged IIS user, which most likely doesn't have execute permission on ping.exe. The scheduled task that launches poller.php and thereafter ss_fping.php is most likely done by a more administrative user that has p...

The format will work. You can configure a Data Input Method of Script/Command to grab the data. For example: - Input Type: Script/Commnad - Input String: snmpget -Os -c xxx -v 1 localhost NET-SNMP-EXTEND-MIB::nsExtendOutputFull.\"upsCheck\" | cut -d ': ' | -f 2 (I'd probably make a small s...

I'm not 100% certain; however, if 0 was accepted by the Web GUI I'll tend to think 0 means unlimited. I would start with 1 and work your way up.

To the best of my knowledge and recent research on the same issue, Microsoft does not natively support the ifHCxyz SNMP counters. There might be success in implementing net-snmp for Windows on the system in question. You'd want to have net-snmp respond the the ifHCxyz OIDs and setup a proxy to the n...

This error is documented on Cisco's Web site (for a PIX): http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/pix/pix63/system/message/pixemsgs.html#212005 The change you could make in Cacti would be to the "Maximum SNMP OID's Per SNMP Get Request" setting. Try lowering it until the errors go away; h...

This is possible indirectly. That is, you would need to create a specific data and graph template for each polling interval by varying the "Associated RRA's" section.

so i have 500 mili errors per second You could apply a CDEF that multiplies the data source by the polling interval and set the graphs to "Exact Numbers." Then, you would have ~60 errors per polling interval. 60 errors ~= 0.498 milli errors per second * 120 seconds Additionally, check the...
