takes a long time to show downed device
Hi there, When I click on a device (Managment -> Device) that is down, it takes a really long time to bring up the device configuration screen. I figured it is trying to do snmp with the device & keep trying according to the retry settings. Is there a way around this so that I can instantly get ...

I don't like host down email alerts coming every 5 minutes..
How can I change the behavior so that it sends out 1 email when it is down...and only send another email when the device is back up? Currently I think the manage plugin is checking every 5 minutes and send out email saying it's down..I have whole bunch of device down emails out of a single device. A...

Foundry Switch Interface Status
Hi there,
The OID for Interface status on Cisco switches/routers doesn't seem to be able to retrieve value from foundries. Ultimately I wish to use thold to monitor switch port status..Anyone know any post out there so I'm not reinventing the wheel?
Cheers,
Gabriel

Re: Enhancement idea
In this plugin, it would be nice to indicate failover "pairs" of interfaces. I have a need to monitor a highly redundant network, where many of the core connections are backed up by other links. Many times our primary link goes down, but we don't know about it because other interfaces pic...

Manage 0.6.1 -> Event Reporting ->All My devices reboo
Mr Manage, When are you dishing out a 'rebooted' event every 5 minutes on all my devices (Cisco/HP and alike) when I know my babies haven't been rebooted (Not my core switches!) Ihave check system uptime enabled/disabled and it does the same thing to me.. I have 'gather cisco info' enabled...didn't ...

Gaps in Advanced ping graph, I want to see Color!
I really hope some still read this old topic.. My advanced ping graph only shows latency not packet loss. When there is a packet loss, all it does is to leave a gap in the advacnced ping graph. I'm expecting to see some colors indicating % of packet loss rather. And this gap is happening across all ...

Thold Email Subject Change
Hi , How can I define the email subject when thold dish out an alert? This way i can skim through the email subjects without needing to open them. Can this be achieved via template? Essentially I wish to receive an email when interface is down, with the subject specifying the port description (ie |q...

Spine, formally Cactid, is a poller for Cacti that primarily strives to be as fast as possible. For this reason it is written in native C, makes use of POSIX threads, and is linked directly against the net-snmp library for minmumal SNMP polling overhead. Spine is a replacement for the default cmd.ph...
