"Passive" Cacti
Hi all,
we have Cacti running on different machines and now we are searching for a way to aggregate the collected data in a central location. Basically a "passive" Cacti that only cares for displaying the graphs, with all the nice features of zoom, changing time scales etc. Is there a way to ...

Choosing the best data input method
Hi all,
I've got a small perl script which queries a mysql db for user count on our irc servers.
The output of the script is flexible:
a) servername:usercount
b) servername1:usercount1 servername2:usercount2 ....
I'm still learning the ropes in Cacti, so my question is which data input method is ...

Use of variables
Hi,
during my graphing sessions I thought it to be useful if Data Source Names and Graph Titles could be derived from variables, e.g.
Graph Title = "<rra_filename> In/Out"
Data Source Name = "Statistics of <input_string_of_script_command>"
Maybe even allowing to mangle these strings with a regex ...

snmp memAvailReal problem
Hi all
I'm trying to graph the free memory of my server with snmp. I tried using ucd/net - Memory - Free and Linux - Memory - Free and created a own snmp data source but all share the same problem:
10/02/2004 01:47:14 PM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] Host[1] SNMP: v1: 127.0.0.1, dsname: mem_free, oid: .1.3 ...
