Changing graph interface without loosing history
In the past I knew how to do it but either something has changed in recent release or I just can't find it. I am monitoring a certain interface traffic let's say on deviceA gig0/0, now I move this line to a different device/interface say deviceB gig1/0 I want the graph to be updated with the change ...

The new jstree
Hi, I recently updated cacti using yum update (CentOS 6.4): Sep 22 09:34:03 Updated: cacti-0.8.8b-2.el6.noarch After the upgrade the Tree View changed to the new Java Tree applet. Why was this change done? The new tree does not look good for me and less convenient to use. Is there any way to rollbac...

Re: problem with Y-axis of traffic graphs
Thanks! that seemed to solve it! I just built new rrdtool-1.4.5 and set cacti to use it and now all graphs looks ok. I must mention that I was using latest CentOS rrdtool package: Package rrdtool-1.2.27-3.el5.x86_64 already installed and latest version Package rrdtool-1.2.27-3.el5.i386 already insta...

problem with Y-axis of traffic graphs
Hi, I started to have strange problem with the Y-axis of my traffic graphs. Sometimes the Y-axis of the graph has wrong scaling on the top for some graphs. See attached image. Capture.PNG Any idea why is it happening? I'm using: Cacti 0.8.7g RRDtool 1.2.27 and also using custom made RRA to support 1...

Re: Search HowTo change the Poller and Cron Interval
First of all, you do not need to set the crontab job to 1min as well, actually you should leave it on 5min and only set the poller interval to 1min
Read this post about 1min polling:

Re: Anyone Have an idea
OK, still some things are not clear to me. Are you monitoring the T1 line directly on the Cisco T1 interface? If yes, I don't know why would Cacti find the port speed as 100Mbps and not 1.5Mbps... unless you modified the bandwidth value of the interface. Cacti should be able to detect correct port s...

OK, I'm not a PHP expert. but if you run Cacti inside a trusted network behind Firewall, you might be less concerned about such risks...

Integrate PIA into Cacti
Hi, (sorry if this was discussed before, I could not find...) I was wondering why not integrate PIA into the main Cacti core? After all it is simply an extension/patch to the main Cacti code, no? It will save all the hassle to keep updating PIA for every release/patch of Cacti. Also, currently PIA c...

Re: Anyone Have an idea
I did not understand your problem
What do you mean you are "getting the port speed instead of the t1's speed"? which port?
Are you monitoring traffic on this T1? what does the graph looks like?
You might need to give more details...

Re: spine SNMP Timeouts
Check the problematic device's settings, what value do you have for "Maximum OID's Per Get Request"? This controls the use of snmpbulkwalk request. Try reducing the number for this devices and see if it helps. Some devices are too weak to handle massive bulkwalk requests, I noticed this pr...

Re: OK, I'll PAY to have someone get this running for me!
A very common mistake (which I've done myself) is to set the cronjob interval for something lower than 5 minutes, while also changing the poller interval inside cacti to something lower.
I did not see your other thread. but what is your cronjob interval? and what is your poller interval inside cacti?

Re: Spine 1 Minute Polling Problem
You don't need to change your cron job interval to 1 min in order to get 1 min polling. Try leaving your cron job at 5 min interval and only setting poller interval to 1 min inside Cacti settings. There is a great thread about 1 min polling you can check out here: http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.p...

Re: RRA and Data Template Settings for 0.8.7
Rows: The Rows Value defines the number of Steps that each RRA should hold. This defines "the width of the rolling window", or in other words, the amount of time old data will be kept in the RRA before it is dropped off. As mentioned above, my settings may well differ from what would work...
