SNMP?
This thread appears to have split into two directions: SNMP and some perl script. Is anyone successfully pulling SNMP data from VMWare?

Disk Service Times - net-snmpd, Linux
Anyone have information about tracking disk service times via net-snmpd? My searching has turned up very little.

AIX Host Template
lg: I'm hoping that there are not multiple conflicting definitions of the term "template" in the context of cacti. At http://docs.cacti.net/templates, there are sections for "Official Host Templates" and "Contributed Host Templates". Is anyone taking point on getting so...

found one problem.... on to next
ok, looks like the aix scripts in /resource/snmp_queries were missing. I added them (aix_{fs,vg,page,disk}.xml).
Now: it looks like the OIDs in the script don't match anything being returned by the snmpwalk query.

Polling native AIX snmpd?
I don't think anyone has successfully pulled data from the native AIX snmpd. It's been described as a "convoluted mess"; my experience reinforces that impression. I will certainly post anything I can get working, but confidence is low. Even getting net-snmpd to work is tricky on AIX.

AIX native SNMP agent
It's hard to hide my disappointment regarding Cacti and AIX. I've chunked through everything in the Forum that a search for AIX+SNMP provided... just several big piles of disorganized mutterings. As often as not, it is unclear whether the posters are working in the context of net-SNMP or the native ...
