Re: SNMP Issues
That tell me that you can only use version 2, You are at least getting snmp to respond. Next step to try would be to use snmpwalk to query all of the oid's and see what is supported on that device, but odds are you needed one more .# on the end of that oid for the interface number in the index.

Re: SNMP Issues
Have you tried version 2 (command line -v2c)? A lot of devices don't allow version 1 snmp as well as some security devices drop version 1 snmp requests.

Re: Syslog 1.05 install issue
What PIA version are you using?? I think that is the same problem I had and installing PIA 2.9 Beta 2 was the fix.

Re: Syslog Plugin help
Thanks, I had actually just fixed it about 10 minutes before your post by adding: $ModLoad imudp $UDPServerAddress 192.168.1.5 # this MUST be before the $UDPServerRun directive! $UDPServerRun 514 I assumed (You know what they say about assumptions) that the listener would have been running by defaul...

Re: cacti problem up to 120MB/s
Nothing to pay for, you need to be using 64 bit counter and increase the rrd maximum.
Take a look at http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?f ... t+#p200560 or search around the forums.

Graphing Softirq
Can anyone point me in the right direction, I need to be able to graph softirq
(.1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.11.56 In net-snmp 5.3 I believe) but I am pretty sure this is in timeticks. How can I get a 0-100% utilization like 'top' shows?

How to monitor Peak Network Traffic
Hey guy, I have searched but didn't find what I am looking for. I am monitoring several Linux based firewalls traffic. The issue is the 5 min or even 1 min average (260 Mbit/s) is not near what the peak traffic is (700Mbit/s). How can I graph the peak utilization of the interfaces? I would even be h...

This is a old post but for search purposes, if you add the following line to the /etc/snmpd.conf you can poll the Checkpoint Daemon from port 161. I just tested it with Rhel3 + CP ver R62

Re:
Thanks for the reply but we never go below 20,000 (All should be between 2 0 and 60 if your theory was correct) so I know the graph is not correct. Also When I drill down no where does it indicate kilo.
Any other Ideas

If anyone can help I would much appreciate it very much! I followed "My First Graph Template" to graph a Snmp OID but having issues. The OID returns a number between 20,000 and 60,000 but the graph is showing < 40? I am not using any cdef functions and used the Counter type and set a maxim...
