Re: Creating XML snmp query for Cisco ASR9000

Late reply and this might already be solved. Im using Eric Halls Cisco CPU php-script that can be found here . I might have made a couple adjustments, not sure which though. But his script is lean and works fast, so its very good. I'm using it for most of our Cisco equipment (asr1k, asr9k (9006/9001...

Re: Place Your Feature Requests & Bug Reports Here

Hi,

I cant seem to give permissions to view the MacTrack tab, for example a guest user that only has "View graphs" permission otherwise.
Anyone else?

Re: Brocade Fibre Channel templates.

@GarsDuCalvados Sorry, i cant help you without more information. Try running a verbose query and see what seems to be broken. Also, i would suggest upgrading your cacti/spine. @Jake11 Youre welcome! :) @vrban I went through the pages from page 13 until i found a download, i couldnt see any patches. ...

Re: boost, rrdtool & poller.php colliding

Okay, except for that error, cacti and boost work just fine. As i said, boost ends nicely but leaves poller.php and rrdtool hanging in the air until that error appears. Ill have a look at my wait_timeout and max_allowed_packet in my.cnf and see if that helps any. Any other suggestions? Edit: my wait...

boost, rrdtool & poller.php colliding

Hi all! I just moved Cacti from a physical server to a vmware machine. Its running good, I've got 8*2Ghz, 12GB RAM and some SAN-disk behind that. I'm running 64bit FreeBSD9-RELEASE #0. I'm also running rrdtool-1.4.5, php5-5.3.10_1, mysql-server-5.5.22 and apache-2.2.22_5. Boost version is from SVN, ...

Re: Spine 0.8.8 multiple number of processes and growing

I noticed this aswell, but only once after a reboot. Killing all the processes fixed the problem and polling went back to normal. Also got FreeBSD9 with spine088 from svn, can't remember rev tho, ill edit tomorrow with that. Will also consider downgrading to 088i. Edit: was running rev7115. Now down...

Re: Cisco SFP (with DOM) Optical value plugin v0.2.3 + 0.2.4

Cacti implements a version check on templates, so that they are compatible with whatever functions are used for that specific version of Cacti, if i used something thats available in 087f, it might not be available in 087e. I suggest that you upgrade your Cacti to a newer version, be sure to back th...

Re: Cisco SFP (with DOM) Optical value plugin v0.2.3 + 0.2.4

Hi, I can confirm that now it works for all types of interfaces and cisco modules. I got some problems with the consolidation functions, but it was in my garden. I allowed all types of CFs in the RRAs and recreated the graphs. I don't know whether this was you idea, but Data Query is still not impo...

Re: Cisco SFP (with DOM) Optical value plugin v0.2.3 + 0.2.4

Oh crap, i know whats wrong. Ive updated the post with the files, you will want to download cisco_sfp.xml.zip again. I think i made the change because i was having problems with undefined indexes myself, and got it working by making everything separated by ":" instead of hostname and host_...

Re: Cisco SFP (with DOM) Optical value plugin v0.2.3 + 0.2.4

The magic workings of Cacti... The last thing i did before leaving was to reindex and create graphs for 10 devices, they all found the SFPs attached and the graphs were working. I actually didnt touch the graph/data templates, i only included them for the sake of having a complete set and so that us...

Re: Cisco SFP (with DOM) Optical value plugin v0.2.3 + 0.2.4

Hi all, Attached is the script, its xml-file and the graph template with dependancies. This works for sure on VSS 6500s and ASR1002. The 6500 reported the interfaces as regular Te(1/)4/5 and the ASR as subslot 0/0 transciever 1. I think the latter way is a new standard from Cisco, we are obviously s...

Re: Cisco SFP (with DOM) Optical value plugin v0.2.3 + 0.2.4

Hi, Thanks for your outputs! Ive made some headway with the script. It seems that i was right that i wasnt matching the interface name properly (only Gi/Te was accepted, not "subslot 0/0...") and the script now uses the numeric index from the device instead of interface name, the script i ...

Re: Cisco SFP (with DOM) Optical value plugin v0.2.3 + 0.2.4

Was that all the output from the debug script or was there more? If you think there is too much to paste in a post, put the output in a textfile and attach it to your post. In fact, thats preferred to a huge post. I might try and rewrite the script to use the OID's index as index, and not the interf...

Re: Cisco SFP (with DOM) Optical value plugin v0.2.3 + 0.2.4

I am using the same OIDs as those in the script and those I had found before trying to use cacti for monitoring of the optic levels. I don't have any GLS SFPs, so all of them have DOM. This is not the case. Georgi Thanks for the output. In the script, for debug purposes (im abroad without access to...

Re: Cisco SFP (with DOM) Optical value plugin v0.2.3 + 0.2.4

on what OID's are you reading the output of the SFP's? In the script you see I first get the index -> then witht the index I read the specific OID needed to get the values (it'sno rocket science) Maybe its a different output type, because of the difference in power metered on his ES modules and the...
