Got it working! The input string for the Data Input Method in Cacti needs to be modified. I had already modified the path to perl and cacti, but the rest of the string looked like this: md3000i.pl -H '<host>' -v '<vmdisk>' I removed the single quotes from <host> and <vmdisk> and its now working prop...

Ok, I think I've got the host right. I created one host for each RAID controller module because each has its own IP and Virtual Disk assigned. I'm not getting anything in the graphs though, and I think it's because I'm using Cacti on Windows. I can run: SMcli.exe 192.168.0.23 -S -quick -c "show...

When you connect this template to a host, is it the MD3000i itself as a host, or the host server it's connected to?

I tried adding my MD3000, however there is no response from SNMP.

I think I figured it out. When I had copied the database to the new server, somehow the host_snmp_cache table didn't get copied.

I added it in from the cacti.sql file and now everything seems to be working.

What is supposed to happen if the rebuild of the cache works correctly? When I view the Poller cache within Cacti, there's 129 items, and the SNMP cache is empty. After running "php rebuild_poller_cache.php", and then viewing the poller cache in Cacti again, there's still the same 129 item...

The technical support page lists all the tables in the database as "OK", and nothing else seems out of the ordinary.

I had already run the repair_database.php file.

[solved] Error when Querying data or viewing graphs

I'm getting an unusual error after migrating my Cacti install to a new server. I used PHPmyadmin to export the database, and then used the Windows Installer to install Cacti on the new server (Windows Server 2003). I re-imported the database and copied over the RRA's and plugins. It appears like Cac...

I have used the steps posted above, but about twice a day something happens that causes the threshold to be triggered. For example, I just received an email that states the following: "Server - Used Space - D: Label: Seri [hdd_used] went above threshold of 90 with 152.552" I have no idea h...

Here's what I did for those looking for a walkthrough: Download the appropriate patch or PHP file posted by Howie earlier in this thread, and apply/overwrite your current version. In Cacti, under Graph Management, click CDEFs. Click Add at the top right to create a new one. Enter the new name as Use...
