Hello all, I am having similar issues with SNMP timeouts detected and it means that I am not getting any charts being created / updated. I have a small amount of machines in my Cacti at the moment, but this will grow quickly once I get all my issues sorted. My Cacti installation: Cacti Version - 0.8...

Reinhard,

Thansk for this, and sorry it has taken me so long to reply to your post.

Yes the host does responded to OID .1, but only polling the server with TCP seems to be working in that the console now states the host is up.

Seems very strange but thanks for the workaround.

Poller stating host not responding to SNMP

This morning I have dug a bit deeper and I think there is a problem with the host down detection. I think t...

I have my system monitoring with both SNMP and WMI. The attached files show the graphs that I am seeing. As you can see the values ...

cigamit, I have been looking to run WMI queries from a Linux host for a while now, and then I came across this and I think it is going to fit the bill :-). I would like to help debug and get this out in the wild with scripts and ideas etc if that is helpful. However at the moment i have an issue. I ...

Monitoring Specific Network Traffic

Afternoon everyone, I need to be able to monitor specific traffic between machines. Such an example would be the traffic between Apache and JBoss on tcp port 8009. The reason I want to do this is so that I can create a WeatherMap that shows the machines and the traffic flowing between the different ...
