Is antivirus supported on Cacti.
Is Anti-virus supported on the Cacti server? If so are there specific exclusions that need to be made to prevent it from interferring with the normal operation of Cacti? This would be placed on an existing working Cacti 8.7b installation. The anti-virus we are intending to install is McAfee EPO vers...

Gave that a try and I was able to get the verbose query to respond with the correct information however the graphs still would not populate. Through a process of elimination I have found that it appears the apostrophe is the culprit. Once I remove that character from the SNMP string the graphs begin...

[solved] Changing SNMP community string stops graphing.
Is there a limit on the length, or what characters can be used for an SNMP V1 community string with in Cacti? I have changed the snmp community string on a device as well as in Cacti, I then verified that Cacti is able to communicate by selecting Verbose Query under SNMP - Interface Statistics on th...

CPU Consolidation Graph
I am running Cacti v8.7a on a windows server. I am currently monitoring several Windows 2003 servers for processor utilization using the Windows2000/XP Host template. The servers have multiple processors so I get multiple graphs, I have received a request from management to consolidate these graphs ...

[solved] Identifying Host device
I am receiving the error "02/11/2008 12:15:05 PM - SPINE: Poller[0] Host[10] DS[163] WARNING: Result from SNMP not valid. Partial Result: ..." in the cacti.log. My question is what is the easiest/best way to determine what device it is referencing as Host [10]?
Thanks
Thanks

Just changed the ipaddress in the spine.conf to the loop back address of 127.0.0.1 and spine is now working. Thanks for all the help, cacti wouldn't be as great a product without all the assistance you guys offer, also thanks for creating the windows installer it has saved me countless hours creatin...

Sorry, my mistake. When running it from the command line I receive this message. Issues switching to spine
I used the beta windows installer version 1.7 to install cacti on a 2003 server. Everything works great until I change the poller from cmd.php to spine then I get the message "02/04/2008 12:53:10 PM - POLLER: Poller[0] DEBUG: About to Spawn a Remote Process [CMD: e:/spine/spine.exe, ARGS: 0 3] ...

Thanks for the reply. We don't actually have a DNS name associated with the system, we have always used the ip address. When I attempt to browse to http://192.168.23.37/cacti/ I get no response, even when attempting locally from the Linux system. I have added a virtual interface on the Linux system ...

[SOLVED] Host IP address changed
We recently relocated our Linux based system to a new subnet. Thus it required a new ip address, what is the proper manner to change the ip address that Cacti answers to? Unfortunately the person that set our Cacti system up originally is no longer here and I am by far no Linux expert, so being as s...
