exporting graphs not working as expected

perhaps some can shed some light here. What I'm trying to accomplish is having all the graphs be created and saved locally (or ftp) every 5 minutes for use within our customer interface. I set the export method to be Classic and set a path. All appears well when the next cycle takes place, but the r...

Hi all. I installed teMySQL successfully. But when I go look at teMySQL - Old Command Stats , I see this: http://www.matthewboehm.com/images/teError.PNG Changing any of the ones that say 'None' doesn't save. I've been able to reproduce this on two different machines that have the latest cacti instal...

But the 'exec' keyword does not work anymore with custom OIDs... Exactly. And when I use 'extend' like this: extend .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.69 sysLoad /root/sysload_snmp.sh I get incredibly long OIDs like this: .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.69.3.1.1.13.114.101.106.101.99.116.84.114.97.102.102.105.99 It works; just d...

Nice HOWTO!

But 'exec' is now deprecated. Got a HOWTO on using 'extend' ?

Hi. I am using the 'Normal' GPRINT. Something I fooled around with is the 'unit-exponent' value for the graph. I changed it to 0 and now it shows on the Y-axis, 0.1. Is that the correct location to change this? I changed the GPRINT to 'Exact Numbers' and everything now shows 0 where in the graph abo...

Hi all,

trying to use the following to convert to megabits/sec (Mbps):

Code: Select all

cdef=CURRENT_DATA_SOURCE,8,*,1048576,/
I'm ending up with graphs like this:

Image

Why is it showing 50m ? It should be showing like 1Mbps or .253 Mbps or 8.34Mbps.

TIA!

how can I add this script to the machines snmpd so that it responds to a private OID? We don't have networking turned on for our mysql servers so this script will have to live locally on each mysql server and be queried using OIDs.

ERROR: the RRD does not contain an RRA

I just downloaded the procurve templates and successfully imported them. I added the 3 data sources for memory (free, total, used) and they are being polled successfully. But when I try to add a graph for 'HP Procurve - MEM Usage', rrdtool gives this error: RRDTool Command: /usr/bin/rrdtool graph - ...

where do I get port-based data?

Hello. I've seen lots of cool, neat, useful graphs around here. I understand how to create a custom graph using multiple sources. What I don't understand is where to get the info from. What I want to graph is our main traffic switchport, but break it down into specific ports. (80, 443, 22, etc) like...
