Yahoo!! I'm graphing! I just started using snmpv2

snmpd.conf

Code: Select all

rocommunity $SECRET-NAME $CACTI-SERVER-IP
disk /
disk /home

Then in cacti, devices - our device, SNMP Options, SNMP Version - 2, SNMP Community - $SECRET-NAME (from above).

p.s.. I'll add [solved] to the topic.

[SOLVED] I cannot graph gigabit network interface.

So here's my problem in a nutshell. I installed cacti, setup the host to montior and enabled Data Query - SNMP - Interface Statistics. So the graphs were showing - but were incorrect - I had 20MB/s+ and cacti was graphing no more than 7-8 up to 10MB/s. So I searched around and found out that I had t...

I have this weird problem. I'm managing around 20 servers. Today I started adding to them Disk IO stats, using the above template (just the net-snmp stats without the script). Everything was fine for the first 10, when suddenly, after adding a data query for the host ( SNMP - Disk Statistics ), gett...

Ahaaaaa! :D :) Yeahhh it works:)
You should put that info in the docs somewhere in big red letters.

And for the record - I used mostly the Generic SNMP enabled host template.

Thank you again. ;)

Yeap, dropped and created databse every time... If this is a known bug I can try 0.8.6j one more time... after all those reinstalls who knows what I've missed.. p.s. - here's also an image to illustrate my problem - all those are separate hosts, with separate usernames, passwords, everything http://...

[SOLVED] 0.8.7a, 0.8.6j - all devices graph the same host

I installed cacti 0.8.7a on my gentoo and added a couple of devices. I soon noticed that all devices show identical graphs of the same host (localhost I think). I then tried: - installing different version of cacti (0.8.6j.. etc) - using snmp v1,2,3 on those hosts (snmpget from the machine where cac...
