Looking for help with the AP3940 Main module and expansion module sets. Each have 6 temp/humidity inputs and you can chain togeher several expansion modules. An SNMP walk seems to have data located: .1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.10.4.2.3.1.X.module.sensor X 3 = STRING: Sensor Name 4 = STRING: Sensor Location...

Cisco ASA 5500's and VPN Templates
I have been told by Cisco that a BUG was files du to the lack of SNMP OID's that reflect what the ADSM and "vpn-sessiondb summary" can give. Right now it seems to be just for the 8.1+ train which only works on the higher end multi processor ASA's. But will be coming to the basic ASA soon i...

Graphing output of ipmitool, system temp to net-snmp?
I have an Intel server board that only let's me get system through it's BMC interface with ipmitool. So I am experimenting with net-snmp's ability to run a script to make this data easily available to an SNMP query. It my quick test I got a shell script to return an integer result of JUST the temp. ...

I talked with Tobi on the RRD-Tool list about this. The graphs I was getting from MRTG that showed a more square wave interger only graph of VPN Users was an artifact from a mis-use of what MRTG was for. It looks like RRDTool is doing what it was designed to do. My question is does Cacti have altern...

In further research, I found this:

I am looking into how Cacti could apply this to my data template.

Ahh, so this is actually being turned to a decimal by RRD Tool? I could see that for an AVERAGE value, which I disbaled. I figured on an interger only dataset like VPN Connections, having the MAX and the Current would be all the was useful. Max acting like the highwater mark, and current was the val...

Getting fractions when graphing integers?
The OID I am graphing is always a positive integer from 0 - 500, as it is VPN connections to a Cisco ASA. Yet my graphs show decimal fractions of users logged in (the Current Connections) Is there something special I need to do in teh setup of the data template to insure that it's always treated as ...

No Login for view only, login for admin
I was looking for a mix of both where when a user goes to "http://cacti" internally to our LAN will just get the graphs from a profile that we Admins set up. Like a quick stats of key systems and items. But the Admins that manage cacti would use the credentials portion. Can that be done no...
