Graphs for one device suddenly stopped updating
Hi. We are graphing some 130 devices in our cacti. Yesterday morning, all graphs except two for a device suddenly stopped updating. The device is a Cisco 6509 switch. The cacti log shows lots of messages like this, one for each non-working datasource: 01/31/2013 10:45:02 AM - SPINE: Poller[0] Host[1...

Re: BIND 9.7 host template
Hmm, I don't really like the idea of running snmpd as root... I fixed the rndc.key problem by adding the snmp user to the bind group, but I still have the problem with removing the named.stats file.

Database update problem when upgrading from 0.8.7g to 0.8.7i
Hi. I tried to upgrade from 0.8.7g to 0.8.7i. I followed the upgrade guide in the documentation, but when running the database upgrade in the browser I got an error: Upgrade results: WARNING: One or more of the SQL queries needed to upgraded your Cacti installation has failed. Please see below for m...

Re: Problems after migrating to new server.
Hi. The scripts worked fine on the old server, and they work most of the time. It's maybe 5 polls per day that exceed the timeout and causes a number of RRD:s to not be updated. It's usually quite a high number of RRDs that are not updated, like it's hanging and isn't able to finish them all in time...

Re: Problems after migrating to new server.
I sometimes still get a poll that doesn't finish in time, which results in gaps in some graphs. Is there a way to find out why the polling isn't finished in time? 01/20/2011 07:40:28 AM - SPINE: Poller[0] Time: 26.6360 s, Threads: 50, Hosts: 14 01/20/2011 07:45:00 AM - POLLER: Poller[0] Maximum runt...

Re: Problems after migrating to new server.
I think I found the problem. There was one php script, for monitoring MSSQL servers, that did not work because php-mssql is not available as a package for the new OS, and I have not fixed it yet. It seems like these script servers hanged and then some other tests did never run. The only problem in t...

Problems after migrating to new server.
Hi. We have migrated our cacti setup to new hardware. The OS has changed from 32-bit to 64-bit. We are using cacti 0.8.7g, and spine. I have recompiled spine on the new server. The problem is that some graphs are not updated, and we get some errors and warnings in the cacti log. The graphs that are ...

Re: Changing index, combining two OID:s for index
Hi. Thanks for the reply. Just to check if I understand correctly... There is a numerical index "srvIndex" which is unique for each virtual server. The problem is that this index changes when you add or remove virtual servers. Is there some way to detect and "follow" that index c...

Changing index, combining two OID:s for index
Hi. We have a template for graphing LVS statistics. I noticed that there is a problem with this template. When virtual servers are added or deleted, the graphs get messed up because the indexes of the virtual servers change. The problem is that there is not one unique field that can be used for inde...

Re: [XML] successor to apachestats 0.4
I noticed that the thread detail and thread detail % graphs work if I don't have ExtendedStatus On. But then the remaining graphs don't work, of course. The output looks correct for both, except some return data is missing when ExtendedStatus is off. Hi. I am using this script+template to graph an a...

Re: [XML] successor to apachestats 0.4
Hi. I am using this script+template to graph an apache server status. My problem is that the cpu load and all the"threads" graphs are empty and show nan for all values. I can see in the cacti log that the script gets the correct values from Apache. Server-status: Total Accesses: 22599 Tota...

Re: ApacheStats 0.6 (PHP Script Server Version)
After running it for some more time, I now see that the graphs show "nan" instead of 0. And this also applies to the cpu load graph.

Graphs stopped updating "File size limit exceeded"
Hi. Yesterday, our graphs and rrd:s stopped updating. We have not made any changes to cacti or the server. There is nothing in the cacti log after the graphs stopped updating. When I try to manually run "php /usr/local/cacti/poller.php" I get "File size limit exceeded". The serve...
