So I added all the templates and the script (which works great btw), but no RRD is being created. I added the graph template to a host and it shows up as a non-image (just the little icons and alt-text) on the host, but no graph. I changed my log output and I don't even see the query attempt and the...

Req: Template for querying URL and returning number

Hello, I have a custom request that I haven't been able to figure out. I'm not very good at creating data queries and the templates required for this so I am hoping someone's already done something similar... I basically need to query a URL of a host passing a parameter in the URL which will then re...

No Reponse over SNMP via TCP

I am stumped on this one and could use some advice. I have approximately 50 linux servers that I'm monitoring with cacti via SNMP. I use SSH tunnels to connect to each agent and the query over SNMP via TCP. Two of these servers return a "No Response" message when queried, even locally. SNM...

Is there any way to get this same information from a Windows agent when Cacti is running on a Linux server? This has been great for all my linux servers, but I need to verify a certain number of processes are running on Windows as well. Thanks.

Figured it out. I had to add the full path to python in the Data Input template. Everything works now. Thanks.

I have this same problem. Has anyone found a fix or identified the cause? I installed it , but graph is empty here is my poller log 08/26/2006 09:20:03 PM - CACTID: Poller[0] Host[3] DEBUG: The POPEN returned the following File Descriptor 8 08/26/2006 09:20:03 PM - CACTID: Poller[0] Host[3] ERROR: E...

did you add this to snmpd.conf :

Code: Select all

proc httpd
Yes. If I hadn't I would have gotten a different error as it wouldn't be able to find an index. In this case, it's able to pull indexes for all the processes I'm trying to monitor, but says that none of them are running.

I forget the name of the script. It was one of the ones in the Best Post thread. It's pulling from the OID tree .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.2.1 which displays what processes are being monitored by SNMP, but shows:

UCD-SNMP-MIB::prErrMessage.1 = STRING: No httpd process running.

Which is obviously incorrect.

No processes running?

Forgive the newb question, but I'm new to SNMP. When trying to perform a query for the processes currently running, it always returns a 'No xxx process running' even though there are. Only 2 servers are having this issue. One is CentOS 4.1 and one is CentOS 4.2. Where is SNMP looking for processes r...

I solved it. As an FYI for anyone else experiencing the issue... Cacti thought the host was down. I was doing an UDP Ping/SNMP check for host status. This server was not responding to UDP pings. I switched it to SNMP only and the host status changed and the poller started checking the server.

RRD's not being created - Not polling

I created a new host using a template I built off an old host. I created the graphs, but for some reason the RRDs were not created. I turned on DEBUG level logging and saw that the new host isn't even being polled. Yet it shows in the poller cache. I've tried searching, but maybe I'm not looking for...
