Re: [INFO] Remote Poller Setup (Cacti 1.1.6)
Dear stormonts, Please note that you have to put a # in front of bind-address=127.0.0.1 so the bind-address is ignored: #bind-address=127.0.0.1 To be honest, I gave up on the new Cacti 1+ version (for now). I was hoping the Remote Poller Setup would make two redundant Cacti systems with two cloned d...

Re: [INFO] Remote Poller Setup (Cacti 1.1.6)
I made two typing errors and wrote "uncomment" while I meant "comment".
Corrected.

[INFO] Remote Poller Setup (Cacti 1.1.6)
Unfortunately, there isn't much info on how to set up Remote Poller. Hopefully, this will help. Please replace the {main_IP} etc. with your own parameters. Main Cacti Cacti Version: 1.1.6 (upgraded from CactiEZ 0.7) Spine Version: 1.1.6 IP-address: main_IP MySQL User : cactiuser MySQL Database: cact...

Re: Can't configure remote poller
Both spine.conf look like you would expect: DB_Host localhost DB_Database cacti DB_User cactiuser DB_Pass local_PW DB_Port 3306 RDB_Host remote_IP RDB_Database cacti RDB_User cactiuser RDB_Pass remote_PW RDB_Port 3306 But I did have to add extra rules to the firewall (I updated from CatiEZ 0.7). I a...

Re: Can't configure remote poller
I have it working. Looks very good.
I have both On-demand RRD Updating and RRDtool Proxy Server disabled. Currently testing with localhost and one Cisco router (I have no idea why Cacti is sharing the localhost data).

Re: Can't configure remote poller
Dear stormonts,
What Poller Type do you use? Your log shows "CDMPHP", but you are also editing spine.conf.
Have you tried setting the Poller Type to spine? And enabling On-demand RRD Updating?

Re: Can't configure remote poller
That is indeed what I would expect.
You are not using an IP-address or fully qualified domain name (FQDN) but "util-st-01" and "cacti-btp-01" for the remote database hostname. Are you sure they can reach each other?

Re: Can't configure remote poller
Dear stormonts, Did you solve this in the end? If you did, could you explain how you did solve it? If not, maybe your spine.conf on the remote poller (cacti-btp-01) is incorrect: RDB_Host localhost RDB_Database cacti1x_btp I would expect the RDB_Host (the remote database hostname) cannot be 'localho...

Re: some thumbnails do not show up
More info and a patch in this topic: http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=50645&start=0 I found that the problem has to do with the use of COMMENT: Graph Template with COMMENT.png If changed to AREA and colour "FFFFFF" the thumbnails will show up, but it will show the colou...

Re: Graphs are not populating, appears to be errors in polli
I had the same problem and I fixed it by repairing the MySQL tables (see also http://www.thegeekstuff.com/2011/12/mysqlcheck/ ): Check a Specific Table (poller_output) in a Database: mysqlcheck -c cacti poller_output -u root -p Check All Tables in a Database: mysqlcheck -c cacti -u root -p Repair Ta...

I am very interested in how to do this.
Is there a sample script that shows how to do this?

Re: [CAMM] Empty fields / Installation
combellm,
I noticed that CAMM does not work with the Jqueryskin plugin. If you use this plugin the camm-tab stays empty, but if you disable this plugin it will work.
