Spine 0.87b release?
Hi All, I've recently installed Cacti 0.87b and have been having a lot of trouble with Spine causing segmentation faults when using a specific script to gather data from MySQL. As this same script works fine when using cmd.php as my poller it was suggested to me that I compile a newer version of Spi...

Graphs are regenerated every time your poller is run, so usually they are not so important. As the previous poster said, the important part is your database. I've written a guide on my site for backing up MySQL automatically using a batch file which might be of some use to you.

I did run the spine manually last night; spine --verbosity=5 <id> <id> From memory it was seg faulting at the same position, but I'll have to double check. I can say with 100% certaintly though is that it is only when using this MySQL PHP script in conjunction with SPine that I get the seg fault err...

Troubleshooting Spine 0.87a
I'm using Cacti .87b on a Windows 2003 server with IIS6, PHP 5.2.5 (ISAPI), MySQL 5.0.45 and Spine 0.87a. To date I've been running exclusively SNMP based data queries without a problem, however recently I installed The MySQL Graph Collection - Version 2.0! templates to monitor MySQL which uses a PH...

Minimising Cacti Poller Windows?
Hi All, I've set the poller interval to 1 minute and am now constantly interupted by the poller (and related cmd/php windows) crowding my screen and taking focus. Is there anyway I can get Cacti to launch these processes so that they do not take focus in the GUI and also so that they are launched mi...

Brilliant tool! I've found an odd thing or two with it though where some values are not reported correctly and I don't seem to be able to find a consistent pattern. For instance if I goto process->thread count->_Total I get a value which is very low (3 in my case). However if I goto system->threads ...

That will probably be it then as neither GetIF or snmpwalk seem to get any response from those OID's (or anything from the WINDOWS-NT-PERFORMANCE MIB). For some reason I made the assumption that being a Windows 2003 server, and using the Microsoft SNMP agent I would have access to the WINDOWS-NT-PER...

[SOLVED] W2K3 SNMP OID's for Mem Pages/sec & Avg Disk Qu
Hi All, Trying to graph the memory pages/sec and average disk queue length values using the generic OID template and the following Microsoft OID's; memoryPagesPerSec .1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.1.1.9 pdiskAvgDiskQueueLength .1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.1.4.1.5 The graphs are created ok, however no data is ...

Spine Vs cmd.php?
Hi All, After a few adjustments and a bit of permissioning work this script seems to run ok for me. However I do have a problem when trying to use spine as my poller. Spine seems to run the mysql_stats.php file fine for several polling intervals, then for no apparent reason (at least to me) it start...
