i used to run cacti on a solaris 9 machine, and eventually decided to migrate away from it on a linux box. i ran into too many odd problems with cacti on solaris, and since most people either run it on windows or linux the problems were hard to reproduce and harder to fix.

there have been several graph templates and scripts posted for bind.
in short yes it is possible, it's easier with bind 8 and more detailed, but you can still do it with bind 9.

ok so in my poller cache i still see this Data Source: Bytes output from QoS class RRD: /usr/local/cacti-0.8.6h/rra/ppar2137_ipvpn_gw_bytes_2094.rrd Action: 1, Script: /usr/local/cacti-0.8.6h/scripts/cbwfq.pl IP COMMUNITY get bytes as you can see, the <class> isn't being given to the script command....

well using moonman's scripts ( link in previous post) i'm stuck my data query works ( on the device) i create the graph, and my rrd's are created, but my data input method must be screwed ( or my data template) because the index of the class is not being passed to the script for the cbwfq.pl ip comm...

can someone post an updated package with working scripts with the correct edits?


i'm using the original package + the latest script and data query posted in this thread. script works fine, the graph creation works but no rrd's created as per above.

any ideas?
