browniebraun, This is a wonderful add-on for Cacti. I've found the reports to be immensely helpful in understanding the massive amounts of data that my Cacti server gathers. Utilizing the php-bindings made my report generation much faster too. Cheers to you. My only question revolves around the sche...

This problem still plagues my installation. I tried doing a fresh install on Redhat Enterprise Linux 5 to see if an update from php4 --> php5, mysql4 -->mysql5, net-snmp 5.0 --> net-snmp 5.3 would resolve this error. It has not. One interesting note is that I tried a fresh installation and first add...

Garp,
Please let me know the outcome of this, as your error symptoms seem very similar to my own. Here's my thread:

TheWitness, I'm going to actually set up another 4000 (have many extra lying around) and experiment with it through more recent versions of IOS to see if I can help solve this issue. Maybe with a newer client machine (with more recent versions of SNMP and gcc, etc) too. I can't use SNMPv1 anymore on...

TheWitness, I just did the following: svn checkout svn://svn.cacti.net/var/svnroot/cacti/branches/BRANCH_0_8_6 cd BRANCH_0_8_6/cactid aclocal autoconf ./configure make Everything compiled fine this time. However, I'm still getting the same result as before: Timeouts with that one and only one host w...

Hi TheWitness. I changed the MAX OID get size down from 10 to 1. No difference. The device is Cisco IOS Software, Catalyst 4000 L3 Switch Software (cat4000-I9K91S-M). It's running a supervisor II+. I ran the following commands to get the latest SVN version of cactid: svn checkout svn://svn.cacti.net...

Help with CACTID SNMP Timeout Error
I'm having a strange problem with the cactid poller on my cacti machine. It works perfectly except for a Cisco Catalyst 4006 switch that always emits the same error message every poll period: CACTID: Host[33] DS[2107] WARNING: SNMP timeout detected [500 ms], ignoring host '10.10.10.14' CACTID: Host[...

SNMPv3 for MAC Track?
Hello, How much work would it be to alter MAC Track to support SNMPv3 AuthPriv? I really like the concept behind this plugin and want to use it. However, my network does not use anything other than SNMPv3. I actually had to modify cacti itself to support AuthPriv, which didn't take quite too long. B...
