Cacti: 0.8.7g on Linux here
I was getting the same errors, solved by increasing the open files limit whit ulimit.
Edit: The problem came back after a couple of days, but a spine update solved everything. 1 month now, clear of any problem.

Re: Weird SNMP bug
Out of the question, 60% of the SNMP querries are ok on the same machine (only some queries gets locked out during the pool). Also SNMP querry will work if I push twice the verbose query (on the first try I get no response), the problem is it will get locked again after the first spine pool. P.S: tr...

Weird SNMP bug
Cacti 0.8.7g on Ubuntu. (~150 devices). I have some strange bugs pulling SNMP info from 3 Windows boxes. Since the last windows update I get SNMP timeouts. Spine reports a SNMP timeout, confirmed by using snmpwalk from both Win and nix servers. The weird thing is, I'll get snmp timeout until I do a ...

I seem to have a similar problem. I'm using Cacti 0.8.7g and Spine 0.8.7g. I have a few Windows boxes that I query with custom scripts. The scripts are working fine. I check every data Data Input Methods and Data Templates and they're fine too. My hosts are set with ICMP ping as the host availabili...

[BUG]: WARNING: Result from SNMP not valid. Partial Result:
Each time spine can't get all the data from a script SNMP query the CPU and disk goes nuts.
I had to increase the SNMP timeout to 4000 ms to avoid getting half data and bringing my server to a turtle speed.

[BUG] Maximum OID's Per Get Request
I can't change Maximum OID's Per Get Request value in Cacti.
I 'm getting some SNMP timeouts while pulling, so I'm trying to lower the Maximum OID's Per Get Request value on some clients. The thing is, it won't save the new value.
