Yes thats the theory =) The thing is the phases are instances of the same OID. I am not sure how that's handled. For example, WhatsUp MIB walk of the device displays the 3 instances as 1.1.1, 1.1.2, and 1.1.3. I tried just tacking that onto the end of the OID but it doesnt appear to be that simple =\

3-phase APC UPS

Does anyone have a template they use to monitor the load of each individual phase of a 3-phase APC UPS (Symmetra)? I found one that does this for the 3-phase PDUs but the OIDs must be different for the UPS because I don't get any data. If someone knows the OIDs for the current load on each of the 3 ...

I know this is an old thread but this is exactly what I need. I was able to import this with no problem but for some reason I am not getting any data in the graph. It successfully imported the OIDs so I am not sure what else to check.

Thanks!

Polling interval change

I am not entirely sure how Cacti calculates its averages. If I increase the frequency of the scheduled task that does the polling of the devices, does that increase the count of polls calculated in the 5 minute average thus making it a little more accurate when dealing with more dynamic devices?

Do you need more detail/screenshots than I have posted above? If so, what would you like to see? From your last post, it would seem the question is this: If the data query results displayed in the "creating graphs for host" step, are complete and obtained with no problem, why do none of th...

Im assuming you mean change the title in Graph Management since that is the only editable field? Unfortunately that doesn't have any effect on the data sources =(

Additionally, WhatsUp Pro has no problem pulling snmp data from all the interfaces of the switch so it isnt something funky with the hardware. Id really rather use Cacti for traffic graphing and analysis though. WhatsUp leaves something to be desired for reporting on such things.

I mean even if I completely remove that graph template from the Suggested values area, not the template itself. I just cant seem to figure out how to tell the graphing system to query the device in the same way that the data query does because that has no problem seeing and distinguishing all the in...

I sure did. I tried that as well as deleting all the graphs and starting over. When I re-apply, no matter what I do, it still applies "|host_description| - Traffic - |query_ifName|" even if I completely remove that graph template. Driving me nuts!

Thanks! Since only IIS knows how to execute perl scripts, running that from a dos prompt only opens the pl file in notepad. I had that idea too =P

Ah, there it is! Pardon the dumb question but how do I determine what to edit/add to allow the graphing system to see the correct interfaces without messing up anything else that's already working that also uses "SNMP - Interface Statistics" (which is basically everything)? Will it be some...

Doh!

I get this dreaded message too :( I get the same message from both of my Sonicwalls. All other SMTP stuff works fine. CPU/MEM/Interface usage etc. "This data query returned 0 rows, perhaps there was a problem executing this data query. You can run this data query in debug mode to get more infor...

Netgear switch specific templates...

Is there any Netgear specific host or graphing script(s) that would resolve the issue below? I don't want any of the developers or gurus wasting their time if someone has already developed a script to take care of this. Thanks! ============ I apologize ahead of time for my scripting n00bness! I am t...

SNMP ifName query for Netgear GSM7224 Gb Switch

I apologize ahead of time for my scripting n00bness! I am trying to monitor the ports on our Netgear switches however the graphing query can't resolve the interface name as the datasource so no graphs get generated (I am only guessing this is the problem from my deductions below). When creating the ...
