Re: Works... confirmed!

I can run cacti2weathermap.pl from the command line and it creates the files perfectly. But when I run it via cron, it doesn't create/update the files. Any idea what might be causing this? As you can see from the example, I've been running the script as root: SHELL=/bin/bash PATH=/sbin:/bin:/usr/sb...

Re: Works... confirmed!

* set up a cron job to run cacti2weathermap.pl and weathermap I've been messing around with this today and everything is working, except for trying to run cacti2weathermap.pl in cron. For the life of me I can't figure out what the issue is. Here's my cron entry for the moment: SHELL=/bin/bash PATH=...

Thanks for the reply! I threw in the crontab entry and tried it but it didn't seem to work. So, I dropped to the command line and ran the entry to see what was happening. When I ran the following: cd /usr/local/cactid/bin; ./cactid I get this back: cactid version 0.8.5 starting. Using cactid config ...

How do I run cactid??

I must be completely blind, but I can't find anything that tells exactly how to run cactid. I've compiled and installed, but what's the actual crontab entry supposed to be?

Sorry in advance if this is a stupid question... ;)

Guys, I'm a complete noob here with Cacti, just stumbled over it. I've been using Nagios and MRTG/RRD for graphing, but I really like what I see so far with Cacti. I use NSclient on all my Win boxes, and would love to use these scripts, but after skimming the docs, I'm lost as to the exact procedure...
