I am able to collect from LocalHost.. Going to take a look at the SVN.. CMD may work for what I currently need so I may push forward for now.. I've added a few more hosts and haven't had any issues with my current config. Same thing for rrdtool... I want to get more functional before I spend too muc...

Has anyone come up with a good plan for showing user specific information in NPC? I am guessing that NPC doesn't use any of the nagios configurations. I am thinking that it might be possible to update all of the table fields and insert a 'user' field. Another possibility is to create a 'user' entity...

Sounds like you are having the same problems that alot of people are having when doing the install.. Most of it is because of a lack of understanding ... I was/am in the same boat. First, you need to run make on the inserter files from your 'install' directory. I couldn't find mine. Partly, because ...

Previewing after thold
I added 'thold' plugin to my cacti install.. As soon as that happened, my graphs started displaying in Preview Mode. I checked all of the settings which happened to be all set in Tree Mode. So, I removed the plugin and refreshed my cacti view. This removed the problem. So, I added the plugin again a...

I am not using Fruity... nor do I know what it is.. But the important this to know: Rather than do a complete re-install of nagios - I went and edited my /etc/nagios/nagios.cfg file and added the two lines for the event blocker. I also manually changed the retaining field to 0. I need to do some mor...

Refreshing
It seems as though nobody is working on this post string anymore.. I hope someone is checking.. The answer may already be on this post, but then again it is 9 pages long. I am noticing that the NPC plugin is not refreshing quite as often as Nagios itself. I am still in Testing with this plugin and I...

Some minor questions
Max, I apologize for coming across as a newb. But I was curious.. My client requires that SNMP NOT be used. Is it a safe assumption that their requirement will greatly diminish the value of Cacinda? It has been my understanding that most of Cacti uses SNMP. To date, I haven't been able to do much mo...

Polling Cacti Itself!
Has anyone seen a way of polling cacti to report who is logged into Cacti. The customer would like to generate trends for how many people are using this service.

No Graphs
I have two initial installs. One on a test machine and one on a Dev Network.
The test machine is displaying graphs for local activity but the Dev Network is not showing any graphs. The installs were performed exactly the same way..
Ideas..
Running FedCore5 OS
