hi, figured it out eventually. tuned some mysql parameters according to output from mysqltuner.pl also since the box was up for something like 950 days, a reboot was in order to clear any possible memory leaks and such. as much as i am NOT a fan of rebooting boxes, this time it sounds like it was re...

Can this ...

changing oid for existing graph

Hi, i have the following situation, which i thought would be faq, but didnt find a specific solution on the forum: i am graphing an OID via an indexed data query and resulting graph works fine. then (for reasons i wont go into detail about at this point), i have a change of OID for obtaining the sam...

snmp xml query problem

Hi, I have setup an XML file for snmp query and the associated data query, and data and graph templates, but graphs remain at zero I have done cacti debugging and it turns out that I am not getting a valid result from the snmp query. the general snmp query from an xml file would be 'oid'.'index' how...

thanks for the info.

i'll add a little more complexity to that:

whats the table to query to get the graph title or data source name corresponding to the rrd file.

And is the host id the primary key to use if multiple tables are required in the mysql query.

cheers

rrd filenames associated with a device

Hi, I need to be able to make up a list of all the rrd filenames associated with a particular device/host which exists in cacti. Ive browsed around the mysql database, and I guess the info is there somewhere, but I thought I'd ask if anyone can point me to the right tables, or some other way of obta...

the log i pasted above shows the links plugin, but it happens for the haloe plugin and weathermap plugin too. i did not modify any of the code, except the default config to get it to work, so i was just asking why it is trying root access to mysql since the cacti data is held under username cacti no...

cacti and plugins accessing mysql as root

Hi, i have had cacti 0.86h running fine on freebsd5.5. mysql had a blank root password, so i decided to fix this. now every so often, cacti or a plugin tab hangs and i get this in apache error log: [Mon Nov 20 12:53:13 2006] [error] [client 212.56.129.212] PHP Warning: mysql_pconnect() [<a href='fun...

updating ifAlias on graphs

hi again fixed my own issue - you have to click the green circle to reload the updated data from the device, and only then should you 're-apply names', since otherwise the non-updated names will be re-applied which is quite useless. the documentation needs some updating, since there are so many litt...
