There is no shadow of doubt that they are installed. If I search the exact paths that cacti requires using slocate i find the required file, '/etc/init.d/snmpd status' says snmp is up and running. Also I've tried to chmod 0777 the needed binary files for rrdtools and snmp but it still won't validate the paths during install.

Hello, I've installed cacti from the cacti-0.8.5-2.a.0.rh8.dag.i386.rpm . The RPM install was good and returned no errors. I use RRDtool 1.0.46. As for: - RRDTool Utility settings must match "rrdtool -v" I don't really know what you say by rrdtool -v. I've tried it in bash but i presume it needs some more arguments.. Using the given command i have stated the version of RRDTool that i use since my last post. I...

In the cacti config the following path is given;
/usr/bin/rrdtool
That i presume it's correct, for there is the binary file for rrdtool.

Hello! I have cacti up and running on my ubuntu server rc 6.06 with Apache/2.0.55 (Ubuntu) PHP/5.1.2 mod_ssl/2.0.55 OpenSSL/0.9.8a.
