JacquesReiss.

Welcome to Knights of Columbus team, hope to see you notching up a respectable score very soon. It's always good to have 'new blood' in a team, and at the WCG.

angry Re: Knights of Columbus

Ahhhhh Kevin, you back again?

Wonder what the Knights of Coumbus other than having a Knight in their name have done to draw your attention. Going to wreck this team Kevin?

Note for the Knights of Columbus Team.... Before accepting the "kind" offer from Kevin you should scroll through the old archives to see what havoc he causes.

I have lost cout of the Teams and Names Kevin has used so far. Anyone else notice the pattern here?

And, how many people is that you've claimed are Kevin? Not so long ago it was Windtalker clowns like you were having a go at, now it's my turn. If jokers like you stopped stirring up trouble, maybe others would be able to get on with doing what they joined WCG to do. That's what I love about WCG, getting to meet such pleasant and open-minded people. Go play your games somewhere else.

BEWARE TROLLS

Re: Knights of Columbus

What's the use of trying to reason with a drone?

I'll tell you what Harvey. The 4 of us will leave this team, as that seems to be what YOU want. Then, you can have the pleasure of explaining to kicktom why you cost his team 4 members, countless work units, and God knows how many points. I'm sure you'll be his very favourite person.

Just grow up, and leave this team alone.!

Re: Knights of Columbus

Just been reading through this, and on face value it does look kinda odd though Jeepster.

On 11th Feb some of you join as guest crunchers, then a few days later on 16th Feb your offering to merge with them and set up a forum site for them

The way you have offered the forum to them:
You might like to check out the link to your team forums in my signature, and register there. A small gift to you guys from friends.

....and reading the welcome message you as the Admin have put on there for them:
This is the home base of WCG team 'Knights of Columbus'.

We welcome everyone wishing to become a member, asking only that you support our efforts by completing and returning WCG work units as a member of our team.

It is our intention to support other teams at the WCG, and there is no objection to any of our team members helping any WCG team of their choice on a temporary basis.
It does look more like a take-over than a merger to be honest mate.

Apologies if you think I'm talking out of turn, but perhaps it would have been better to offer them a forum and let them run it with their own aims and objectives?

Re: Knights of Columbus

Adyweb.

At last someone with a bit of common sense, it seems.

I thought I'd explained that the forum was a 'gift' to KofC because they don't seem to have one, and I'd have been happy to hand it over to the team as soon as someone there got the hang of running it.

The wording of forum posts can always be changed by the Admin. Whoever took on the job of doing that could've changed anything to suit their style of doing things. All I did was provide the bare bones as a gift to a small team.

There was never any question of a take-over. Why would there be? We've already got a team base. We were just trying to help another little team reach a couple of it's goals.

None of that matters now. Thanks to Happy Harvey, our own members have left KofC to prevent that team having to take more of the garbage dished out by him and his kind. He's a real asset to the WCG.

Kicktom.

It was a pleasure doing a little bit to help your team. I'm sorry we weren't allowed to do more, but you don't need this kind of rubbish directed at your team. Take care mate. smile

Re: Knights of Columbus

There is always a risk when guest crunching for teams that things can be mis-interpreted if one isn't careful - as I found to my own cost not too long ago blushing

As part of an independant group of 'Base Campers' comprising of members of many teams who 'trek' or 'camp' at teams to help them achieve their goals, we always try to tread very carefully and not upset established members or overwhelm them, by first obtaining the Team Captains permission, and constantly liasing with them throughout the trek to make sure problems do not occur - we never do anything that could seem presumtious without clearing it with them first.

As regards Harvey - he is a fine, very dedicated and conscientious cruncher who in the past was taken advantage of by the shinanigans of some of your former colleagues to such an extent that he quit crunching for some time - so I can understand his concern in making sure it doesn't happen to others wink

Good luck back at Dreamweavers - lets look forward to seeing your production increase once again smile

Re: Knights of Columbus

To be honest, I don't completely understand what the recent dialog is all about.

I am a Knight of Columbus and follow the motto, " In Service to One. In Service to All."

I created the Knights of Columbus team to give my brother Knights an oppurtunity to demonstrate the solidarity that we have within our service fraternity.

I have no intentions of ever dissolving this team. If team mates come and go, does it really matter? All that matters is that we continue to use the resources that we have on hand to help those in need.

It looks to me like we have added 3 new teammates:
Blue Orchid
JacquesReiss
Windtalker

Welcome. We look forward to you pitching in.

I also expect to break our goal of into the top 4000 teams in points by the end of the day. That is eleven days ahead of schedule.
