Everytime i try to start my World Community Grid Client i got an message from Kaspersky Antivirus.
Hell tells me that the programm C:\Programme\WorldCommunityGrid\ud_8383362_0.dir\wcg_hdc_tma.exe starts an buffer overrun. Does anybody know what do do ? The WCG Client downloads an WU then he starts working. After some seconds he starts again downloading a new WU. Thanks for help Marco |

It's likely as one program transfer information to a second, which is generally suspicious as you will have read in many virus notices. U need to tell Kaspersky it's a safe process.
----------------------------------------This interesting info, as other members have been complaining of cycling HDC's (starting, aborting, getting new Work Unit). I use Alwil Avast and not had the issue (so maybe not as good.... nay no doubts) U might want to visit the Kaspersky website to see if there are other false-positive reports... I'm sure WCG will take this one on too. cheers

Those russian are doing there job as they should.
The problem is the programmers of the grid (the infrastructure and each project's module) who did a lousy job of designing their system, they had to result to tojan like practices inorder to make things work. |
