There are a few warnings in the result file that I seem to have on quite many workunits. I have enclosed part of the file below, and marked the relevant warnings as bold.
----------------------------------------I'd like to ask if they are a real problem. If they are, something needs to be done. If not, should they be warnings at all? There are 3 warnings I've marked: 1. Warning about VersionInfo size 2. Warning about divide by zero. Usually not a good sign! 3. Warning about unrecognised keyword: compute_unbound_extended /Staffan <core_client_version>5.4.9</core_client_version> <stderr_txt> World Community Grid AutoDock (projects/www.worldcommunitygrid.org/wcg_faah_autodock_5.28_windows_intelx86) version Failed to get VersionInfo size: 1812 Failed to get VersionInfo size: 1812 INFO: projects/www.worldcommunitygrid.org/wcg_faah_autodock_5.28_windows_intelx86 Start AutoGrid... These are normal. While the warnings may appear useless now, they may be of use when things go wrong and the scientists need to diagnose the problem. I think it's just simpler to leave the warnings in.

Thank you for the answer.
----------------------------------------As a programmer myself, I agree that having warning messages in the code is a good thing. However, there should never be warning messages when everything works normally because users will get used to there being warnings and won't notice any additional ones. Anyway, knowing everything is alright is enough for me. Thanks! ![]() |
