Much better today. It was fairly cool and the breeze was consistent. That kept the little stinkers at bay today. I finally butchered my last pumpkin from last fall and fed it to the chickens. It was still perfect inside with no soft spots or rot. I have never had a pumpkin last this long into the spring/summer. I planted some of the seeds and saved a few for next year too.
Cheers

Am seriously considering getting the new 16/32 AMD thread ripper to replace my dual xeon rig. Will wait a bit more though to see if any issues crop up. Have never built a AMD rig so will be interesting. Get ready for the heat, next week is going to be HOT!

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

From reading all that it sounds like you have all of the tax guys in a quandary. You sound like you have a successful strategy, so keep it going. You must be busy, haven't heard from you in a while.
Summer is in full swing here, although we have not had much of the bad heat and humidity so far. However we have had a bumper crop of mosquitoes and deer flies. Not so good with the potatoes this year. For some reason about a quarter of what I planted never came up. The pumpkins and squash look good though and it has been a great year for the rhubarb.
Cheers

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

All is back to normal once again as far as WCG is concerned. When the systems finally came up, I had a couple of systems I had to manually do a retry to get the uploads moving. I also had a condition of "download stalled," which prevented any other downloads from being requested. Once again a retry broke that logjam. In an unrelated matter, my router hung so that needed to be reset also.
Might get some severe thunderstorms this afternoon, so I will have to keep an eye on that.
Cheers

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Well, all the thundershowers missed us, just a sprinkling here. Had to shut down a few systems, so as to not fight the window air conditioner. Will just run them at night if it cools down sufficiently then. Midsummer heat and humidity, what do you do ?
Cheers

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Not much you can do. I leave my dually off during summer. Eats to much electricity. Good for a room warmer in the winter. Goofy weather this year. Hard to tell if we will get hit hard or dry up as it gets close. Sure does dump allot though.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

A guy goes to take a little nap on a nice summer's day and this is what his loved ones do for him.
