Hello fellows 8) Some more mushroom stuff.... Couple of days ago there was article on biggest newspaper, writing says that mushtoom are best on young age. Only problem on that article was that there was image of Amanita virosa and I think it is most toxic mushroom on this planet.. Well, now four people are pretty rotten condition. http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/7498/sieni1.jpg Been pretty quiet from your neck of the woods lately. Always need to be careful with mushrooms. Know what you are doing or pay the consquences. You must be laying back and enjoying all those good investments you have made in Luxembourg and the Baltics. Still waiting for the other shoe to drop here. Those trillion dollar+ deficits have me scared. Hope Bernanke can unwind the Fed positions without problems. Cheers

Been pretty quiet from your neck of the woods lately. Cheers Well to be honest, I have get joy out of my tiny wealth. Not because direct anatomy of money, not something like capability to spend and consume. This hold stuff is now working on some very deep philosophical layer. Economy here has gone down/under, and it has reflection to everywhere.. One sad item is poisoning of work environments. When there is one chair lesser than player, it will cause some ugly behaver amongst people. It has create weird kind of subgroups, with their own rules how to continue on everyday life.. I guess it is one way to try get even some control to life that does not have any more any future to offer. I have been back stabbed couple of time, I do no mind so much, those are not my childhood friend or anything, "just" workpals who are afraid of their mortgages and so on.... It hurts of course, but I know that motive behind there is afraid, and it is everybody themselves when places on lifeboats are limited. To me this all is actually quite exciting play on large scale. Destiny of this government is not my destiny, so destiny of few companies does not make actually any sense to me. My destiny lies on very different societies. So it is very wonderful feeling to be able to conserve calm state of mind, even on face of any thread. It of course gives wonderful piece of mind, but also make me feel very noble on manner that I have never felt before. I do not need to do anything that I would need to regret later, This depression will be over some day, like all of them. And I'm very happy that on that day I know that I did not do anything that I would need to be sorry. I do not need to stab anybody's back, I do not need to say anything evil, I do not need to join weird pact's. I can stand with my own two feet and take any storm or battle with smile on my face. I'm very happy that I can be happy. It seems to be most rare luxury on now a days. And just understanding of that I can take any storm without blinking of eye, causes me some deep bushido kind of state of mind and I cause great pleasure to me. There is something real wonderful on that silence that is above any noise. I really like that silence. ![]() |

Hmm... I wonder, will BOINC be updated to use OpenCL on Snow Leopard? Will the Work Units?
If I read the propaganda right, it is not a lot of work to adapt code to use OpenCL. An additional benefit of OpenCL is that it is more agnostic with regards to the type of CPU that will be given work, an an Open standard. I have to admit it is cool to see my Mac slinging work across 2 CPU's and 2 GPU's. |

That would be nice if CL would work. Would have to add a second card to my 8 core mac. Especially if the cards were 1gb w/DDR5. The new ati cards coming out next month should really smoke, provided there's a mac version.

No. Since Nvidia is in bed with boinc, probably not for a very long time, if ever. Rumor has it that WCG is working on a project that will use Nvidia GPU but WCG is being very hush-hush about it just in case it does not work out. |

I wish nvidia would make a card with 1gb memory and DDR5 like ati does. For the mac of course. And use open CL too. Oh, wishful thinking.
